He had 28 HO with 9 HO to advantage (last I read here somewhere correct me if im wrong), that's a good amount of first use for our mids.
Negated a lot of theirs imo he bet them.
Competed well vs Adelaide but old mate had his measure. Still provided a good contest though.

If someone else can stand up at full back looking longer term does Frampton make Cox expendable?

A second ruck is traditionally a forward. It’s mcstay/Johnson more likely to make Cox expendable should the selectors decide to do away with the two ruck setup.
So unless frampton forces mcstay out of full forward, I’d say no. He’s our full back.
How do people not understand that at 211cm, Big Cox is our best Ruckman.
Billy is the versatile tall that holds up the secondary spot.
It makes Cameron’s position a little horses for courses. But I have faith in Fly and Co. They’ll make the right call.

Not sure why so many supporters look at football so superficially.
"Oh he's been at 2 clubs and struggled to get games at those clubs" ok so? Like, at worst, the current football department has given Collingwood supporters very little reason to doubt them.
As I had said back when we recruited him, he doesn't need to be a superstar, he just needs to be a semi-capable tall backman, which he more than is. He's been fantastic for us.

Just 2-3 more weeks. Max. Until Darcy Cameron returns basically.
But depending on the team we play, maybe not even that long.
Sydney and GWS really only have one tall forward to worry about, so he can play second ruck/forward the next couple of weeks. Carlton have the 2 talls but Darcy might be back by then. Even if he's not, we have Kreuger and Begg there as back up if required.
But honestly Darcy Cameron could be back by Carlton.

This has been arguably Coxy's best season thus far and he's currently crucial to our structure and the way we play.
But at least we've discovered Billy's versatility in all this and it's a break in case of emergency option that we have should we need it come finals.

Its also about picking one stat above all others and using that stat to determine who is undervalued.
In the actual moneyball scenario with Oakland, they used a previously ignored stat.
Unless our club is using a stat to 'value' the players.....its not moneyball in its truest sense.

i think he needs to know the rules. The first rule of whipping Club is: you do not talk about whipping Club. The second rule of whipping Club is: you DO NOT talk about whipping Club. Third rule of whipping Club, someone yells repent, goes limp, taps out, the whip is doubled.
Frampton has been a revelation but where to now. I assume with Cox back, Frampton goes to defense but still fills a 2nd ruck role. What about when Cameron returns? Is it possible we will be better off with 1 of Cox/Cameron rucking, Frampton 2nd & McStay in the side? I don't think I have seen the 2nd position played out of defense.

If a forward can do it I don't see why a defender can't, as long they have an adequate person to cover for him in defence.
