the ball was mainly in our forward 50, we were getting first touch, Moore would have been an aerial threat

Fly stated he was contemplating switching Billy when Murphy went down but didn’t want to give up what he was contributing to keeping Andrew’s quiet

If we knew Freddie could make it through the game without injuring himself, I wouldn’t have opposed that. But he’s such a kamikaze, we could’ve been 2 players down very early on with Murphy going out.
I love Freddie’s aggression, and in a perfect world he would’ve played and steamrolled half of the Lions backline.

There were doubters about Murphy as well.
Frampton has been filling holes all year and done admirably.Defence may not be the insurmountable challenge you insist.

we went conservative in selection, and I get that, you get one chance. Krueger would have been a risk
but if we had of lost , it would have been Jason Cloke all over again. Playing a player out of position on the biggest day of the year

I think given half a chance Frampton can do the sort of job Roughead did for us and really his work in the ruck at times last season means that he has earned a crack at it.
He did a great job on Andrews for 3 qtrs and if not for Andrews v Carlton they would not have made the final IMV.

Billy will be pleased you’ve followed him so closely. Freaked out a bit perhaps but pleased.
You still haven’t covered how you knew Murph would be good because he was always courageous.

that game , the prelim, well the first qtr and a half was one out of the box for Harris. The likelihood of him playing that good again was small. They were conservative with their match up, thats their fault. They waited too long to start taking risks, paying way too much respect to an opponent who was hardly that on the day

look, we were the better side 75% of the game, but it had zero to do with Frampton, it was our midfield
im just not going to sit here and think Frampton done anything special

he is lucky to have a premiership medallion, and all power to him for achieving it. But he was s**t on the day

im in Adelaide, I’ve seen him here for years each week. i have nothing against him personally, just don’t think he played well at all in the GF
Murphys attack on the ball won him over for me, that’s half the battle in succeeding, very good kick, decent mark. Why wouldn’t he make it. Had a bit of lack of pace, but read the ball well to cover for that

It means something if you've not been able to nail a spot at your first two clubs. However Oleg is going well. I think Billy is looks pretty dopey out there. Sometimes tats confidence, but sometimes it's just dopeyness. Time will tell.

This may be the dumbest take yet. Which is pretty impressive considering some of the company it's in. Your questioning the club's abilities to trade well because they used pick 62 to pick up a player, that has done everything asked of him including playing out of position on GF day (both Cox and Pendles have talked about this on post GF podcasts). If that's not bad enough you blame him for losing us a premiership that we didn't lose!

All this in an attempt to show that club pays overs in trades.
