seriously, who really cares about this... first world problems...

It's pretty hard to justify spending $80+ on a single player only game... you get what 15-20 hours and that's it. I loved the first two games, but I picked them up dirt cheap and don't mind waiting (for this) to do the same I think.

Can you justify spending $25 for a movie ticket for 2 hours entertainment? Its only a single experience.....

The truly great SP games are worth $80 or more.

AC2
Uncharted 1 and 2
God of War
Bioshock 1

etc, etc

Nek Minnit, shipping containers go missing, delayed some more ;)

You'd think they'd be smart enough to try not to go up against The Last of Us and GTAV.

You'd think. o_O

Gotta say I'm beginning to look forward to this one.

I've been watching a bit of the in-game footage and I'm starting to get excited for it again. The scenes I've viewed so far look like mayhem and I like the way the battles can be fought on multiple levels with the use of the skyhook.

$60 for the following: BioShock: Infinite + XCOM: Enemy Unknown + $30 2K voucher that can be redeemed at any point within the next 12 months + BioShock kindle book.

A lot of other places offering insane deals on this game. As a rep said on Reddit, they've never seen so many game companies being able to offer so much to get purchasers. It scares me a little that the game is going to be pure garbage. Hoping for the best.

Wasn't really a game on my radar of interest (had played number 2 and enjoyed it but didn't love it). Saw a nice cinematic trailer for it yesterday and the setting and concept looks interesting - hopefully it comes as a free game for the PS Plus members on the PSN (which is how I got number 2) down the track haha.

How much does a PSN membership cost?

It depends on how many months you subscribe for - I think I got the 12 month subscription last year and paid maybe $65-70.

Definitely worth it if you can afford it mate - you get access to a bunch of free games and they usually add 1-2 a month to the library (last month I think they had Mass Effect 3 and Dead or Alive 5 - which I both have but I've gotten games like Crysis 2, Red Dead Redemption, Dead Space 2, Bioshock 2, Borderlands and a bunch more for free which is sweet).

Another great feature is you can save files on a cloud server so you can then download them onto a friend's console or use it to back up your saves in case your PS3 crashes.

Doesn't sound too bad. Do you know if the catalog of games stays on their indefinitely?

I think some of the older ones have disappeared but there is usually around 12-15 at any one time including some of those smaller, PSN downloadable games.

What I used to do on my old PS3 (40 gig) where the hard drive space was limited was start the download of all the games and then cancelled/paused them - that way, they get added to your download list and you can download them any time in future even after they disappear from the PSN library.
