Just finished it. Credits just started rolling and I am blown away. Video games should aspire to be like this. That ending has, for the most part, I think anyway, gone over my head, but it's still incredible. Wow. 10/10, GOTY. If anything beats this for GOTY we've been blessed.

There are so many jaw dropping moments in the last bit of the game (after the last fight). Again. Wow.

Yeah I've started reading through it now. Also found a link to this video online (I haven't been able to watch or hear it myself due to my computer refusing to play sound for the past few days, but the comments show that the title of it is true. And what it shows there implies that this game has been in the works for a while.)

Personally I don't buy into the suggestion that

there's any intended direct connection between the events of BI and Bioshock (as 'we' played it). The relative tidyness of the bathysphere bay doesn't match up with what we saw during Jack's arrival, and I think the audio similarity between Songbird and the music hall scene is just practical reuse of an existing audio asset. I mean, has anyone confirmed that that sound is used nowhere else in Bioshock? I doubt it.

Odds are it's only an alternate universe to what we played.

That's what I thought that the Big Daddies were just Songbirds of a different world, right down to their relationships with the little sisters and Elizabeth.

I think it really was just a machine. You come across a blackboard that has the design for it at one point - can't recall where though. Possibly in the Luteces' lab?

That's where I'm up to as well. The person in charge of the games art direction should get a 6 figure bonus IMO.

Also now that I have the Bucking Bronco I'm experimenting with combining powers
