If something beats this game for GOTY it means that I likely have a new favourite game of all time.

Which considering Vice City has had an 11 year unchallenged hold on the title is big news for me.

So I'm behind the 8-ball and only bought this the other day and I'm not even all that far in, but **** me this is amazing. The graphics are just a feast for the eyes, the story draws you in completely and the game play is tuned near perfectly. I have not been this immersed in a new game since vanilla WoW was released.

Had to quickly come on just to say **** yes about this game, but gotta get back at it!

I don't know what it is about Bioshock games but they just don't do it for me.

It will be in the ball park for a lot of people's GOTY, even if it isn't yours.

I post some stuff indicating you are seemingly in the minority when it comes to that assessment. Critical weighting as well from people who know what they are on about.

I love the game, it's not all roses but I didn't care about what some people griped about when I was playing.

Stick with it, you get way more invested in the games second and third acts.

If you don't like it after clocking it I won't try and change your mind. I'm more saying your initial assessment is a little off kilter with critical assessment.

I never said that, but when you have one person saying it isn't special, especially when it turns out they aren't that far in and there is a huge weight of critical praise on said product. It probably indicates the game isn't to your tastes rather than the game isn't 'special'.

Everyone has different tastes. I can respect that.

Hands down, game of the year. Shit hands down game of the decade! Amazing from start to finish. Had a hunch about what was going to happen at the end, got it partly right, but never would have guessed it exactly. Incredible stuff. Honestly cannot fathom how anyone could play this game from start to finish and not walk away calling it an absolute masterpiece.

I think I would've clocked up 10-12 hours worth easy.

They don't give you a time played though.

A bit over a quarter through and its not bad.
I have been getting motion sickness playing it so i can only play an hour or so at a time
The only other game that has happened to me on is Half Life.

Got this game a few days ago, been playing it after I had some some texture issues with the game and glad I got it working as this game is amazing. Elizabeth is such a great character and haven't given a damn about a character so much since Clementine in The Walking Dead game.
