For Wce how do you rate Tom Williamson and Mitchell Hinge, I like both for late picks.
WCe have has some interest in Tom Williamson particularly.

I have both outside my top 50. Think Williamson can be very outside at times, Hinge can play in multiple positions but I don't think he's nailed one down. Think both go late & would be good selections.

Know both WA teams have spoken with Tom.

Interested in your thoughts on Setterfeild, with Essendon potentially bidding at pick 1. Notice you have him rated at like 13 in your ranking behind Perryman. Any reason for such a low ranking? And what's your take in general.

Yeah, I'm surprised at that. I have Setterfield around 5 and Perryman 20+.

Bishop , What are the chances of Himmelberg being availabel at Richmond's 2nd pick and would you take him here?

I've probably seen the most of Setterfield out of anyone on here and he's never really impressed me like others have. His one big performance in the TAC Cup Finals where he laid 16 tackles I thought he was very good. But he just doesn't find enough football for my liking and I question whether he'll bulk up or become a player at 190cm that remains "lanky"

I know it's a chance they bid on Setterfield, but I'm more inclined to say it's going to be McGrath & that's where my confidence lyes at the moment.

I really rate Perryman. Saw him in the NSW-ACT trial early this year and since then I've been a huge fan. A lot like Matt Kennedy for me, I think they both will be guns and probably haven't had as much time in the sun as the other prospects. I've got no doubt Setterfield is bid on before Perryman - but I'll stick with my opinion/rankings and we'll see how that goes in years to come.

Don't think he'll be there at 55 - But I'd certainly take him if he was.

Bish, with these guys in mind, how do you see Brodie in this conversation?

I've got Brodie at 5. Not a huge ball winner either, but his form against VFL teams early in the season I can't ignore. Had a fair few niggles later in the season when everyone else was running at a better capacity. Clearance work is outstanding, but if you take out his two sub 15 disposal games in TAC Cup Finals- his disposal averages increase by far. Safest player in this draft pool, not bust about him IMO.

Have updated my Power rankings 1-75 on the second post. Will post an updated Phantom first round this arvo, but top 10 looks like this:
ESS: McGrath
GWS: Taranto
BL: McCluggage
GC: SPS/Ainsworth
GWS: Setterfield bid
CARL: SPS/Ainsworth
GC: Logue
FREO: English
GC: Scrimshaw
GC: Bowes bid
SYD: Simpkin

Fair enough, mate, you've seen more of them than I have. I'm a Kennedy fan but I feel Perryman is a slow HBF. As you say, we'll see. :thumbsu:

Hey Bish, no Brodie?
Also, on the outside chance Bowes doesn't get that Sydney bid, do GC take, say Brodie or Hayward at 10, delist a contracted guy the next day and go into heavy deficit next year??

Gold Coast will have 5 picks in the draft - so that could be three picks + Bowes & Scheer or four picks + Bowes for example.

Bowes won't not get a bid in the top 10- no question at all.

No Brodie from what I hear. Maybe Sydney. I think he could get to West Coast/Adelaide if they want him.

Who would you think is more likely to get him out of us and WC? I'd think the Eagles would be keen but I don't know

West Coast is the only pick I've literally got no idea. They could go Brodie, Berry, Simpkin, Gallucci depending on how things play out. Eagles met with Cedric Cox on Saturday so could go him too. Wouldn't put it past the Crows to overlook him.

So is there no chance that GC pick 6 in the draft... I know there is only 5 spots on there list, but is it not possible they delist another player the day after the draft if Bowes doesn't get a top 9 bid.. I know your personal opinion, but is it legally possibe?

Nup you can't delist a player after the final list lodgment to get an extra selection in the draft. Scotty Clayton even said on Cal Twomey's podcast that they will only take 5 picks. It's not legally possible to answer your question.

Hey Bish, appreciate your insight. Are you not sure about the eagles' preference because we're quite tight lipped, or is it more that our recruiters are more inclined to wait and see what is available at our first and don't really know themselves yet? Thanks :D

Honest answer is I'm not sure at all. Very tight lipped & I don't know anyone in the know at the Eagles!

Think the top 10 names are sort of set- so they probably have a fair idea who they will take.
