Not sure they publicise them, they normally get circulated early in the week however.

I think it was Oscar Clavarino who will go in the book for a strike (or two) on Nathan Murphy in the third term on Saturday.

Most of the stuff gets thrown out so we'll see.
See the comments on this Facebook page by a Grandmother, maybe related to one of the Rebels boys.

Mate I still struggle to come to terms with him not being on the radar...a 5 goal 43 possession game is a brilliant output. The Pioneers were genuinely disorganised and just have no structure or plan. A side with Brander, O'Brien, Schumacher, Daniels, Caldwell, Davis, B Henderson, D Henderson and Farrell should always be competitive. Higgins is a jet!

There's some good players in that list - but their depth is poor & the fact that Thompson marked inside 50 on multiple occasions without a Pios player within 10 metres of him was terrible. At the end of the day when it's 52-0 at QT - you can't take anything out of the contest.

At the end of the day, there's more to just winning the ball. Plenty of players in past years have averaged 25+ disposals type of thing and have been overlooked just because they don't have AFL traits.

Yes true.....this was going to be the year the Pioneers played finals but they are going backwards atm. Hopefully they can take it up to Ballarat

Have seen Thompson play about 10 times this year, hard to read anything into the Bendigo game on Saturday because they were woeful. Only a couple of clubs have shown interest but he's one of those players at the 180cm ish size that probably don't have a lot of X-Factor and are quite vanilla.

He is slow - and when clubs these days are looking for speed (especially out of a stoppage) - he isn't the man for that. I wouldn't be against taking him as a rookie, but gut feel says he's overlooked. But we'll see - finals can make and break players & that's the best time to perform.
I get what you mean, but I don't think he's one of those vanilla types who get overlooked. That's Jonty Scharenberg (even Nick O'Kearney, although he got rookied). He's a genuine inside mid, and wins contested ball consistently, and could have some sort of success at AFL level. He doesn't have that quality of winning the majority of his ball on the outside and being an average user - he wins his own ball, which sets him apart. I see a lot of Kade Answerth in Thompson, and so would not be surprised if he was overlooked, but I think he's a much safer bet to have a level of success in the AFL than a lot of other guys who will get picked up. His speed is not too much of a liability, defensively he is perfectly solid, and clean enough in his skills and overhead.

Bytel all class will easily go top 10 in next year's draft. Can't agree with you on Bernacki, no defensive side whatsoever IMO. Calluzzi looked his best all season. Landt not as Clean as usual but all smarts and massive defensive upside, great 100m chase down on the wing. Taylor ripe for next year

I think the Cannons forwards and midfield have leaked too much all year. Through their lack of defensive running they have put too much pressure on the back six.

Bishop any thoughts on Connor Ballenden?

Looks pretty good for a big man in regards to his kicking, could be a nice For/2nd ruck option

I liked him much more 6 months ago, especially after showing his marking strength last year and his dead accurate kicking.

Has had a so-so season and probably falls in the 2nd round for a bid. Great contested mark, has a nice long RF kick. I like him best out of the goal square & maybe pinching as a 2nd ruck - but there's no way I could see him as a KPD at AFL level.

He might be a player Richmond could consider to bid on, but I see Brisbane matching as he falls into the Brisbane Lions Academy.

Hi Bishop, this is what Chris Fagan said post our loss to North in round 23 re pick 1-

“Looking for that hybrid guy that can win it on the inside and spread,” Fagan said.

Who do you see as the best in this draft at that?

I read that a lot of phantom drafters compare Cameron Rayner to Christian Petracca, If both were in the same draft (just considering Petracca's pre draft form) who would you have selected and who do you see as having the higher ceiling?

Will be tomorrow, just been catching up on some vision today.
Hey Bishop
We have seen in the last 10 or so years the AFL becoming very much a follow the leader comp.If Cotchin is lifting the cup on the last day in September and it's a very big if. Does that in anyway change draft boards and philosophies and do we see the talls slide??

Brass monkey territory yesterday, bitterly cold and that wind. Brrrrrrr.

I thought Domic was easily the best for the Rebels too, Wellings had more of it but Domic more damaging with his speed and run and carry, Flynn Appleby again great in defence and has added more run to his game lately as well as his shut down roles, could be a smoky for the draft.

For the Cannons toss up between Benacki and Bytel for best with Caluzzi also very good. Even though Balta kicked 3 goals didn't really impress yesterday.
Rhylee West also showed flashes of top end talent.
Hey mate do you think that Rhylee west could potentially push top 10 in next years draft if he keeps up this rate of development from the start of the year? And what type of player is he? Inside or outside? Does he have many tricks ?

Hard to say at this time with the talent laden 2018 Draft but he certainly showed enough to suggest he could be in that conversation, that was the 1st time I'd seen so hard to assess on just one game. Looks quicker than his old man and kicking looked good. You really don't want him to push too high or he'll cost you more to match.;)

Bishop likely seen a lot more of him than me.
