Bizzell and Burns

Problems started when Geelong trades players like these.
I think thats Thompsons problem - he doesnt like exciting players. Sure Bizzell and Burns may be inconsistent, but they still kicked goals.

Bizzell is now a star at Melbourne and where is Grgic - who gives a **** at least hes not on the list anymore. Same deal with Ronnie - at leat hes getting a run with Adelaide - Ben Finnin is already gone.

Theres no excitment in this team, except occasionally with Ablett.

No recruitment of Aboriginal players who seem to have that special somthing. Instead we are stuck with this boring team that cannot kick a score. It is the most pathetic forwardline probably since Fitzroy died.

Id like to see Thompson go at the end of this year. I dont think we are going anywhere with him.

Id like to see what Terry Walace could do with this list and Buddha Hocking should join Cresswell next year also.

Do we want priority picks for next year? My answer is yes. We cannot make the 8 from here. The draw will not allow it. If we can get those picks i think we could turn it around next year. Wed trade one to finally get a decent key forward eg. Richardson J.Brown, Lucas

2004 is a write off. lets just hope it gies quick

Bizzell, Burns, Grgic and Finnin all played like crap before they were delisted or traded. It had nothing to with excitement.

I think Steve Johnson is exciting and agreed so is Ablett.

In reference to aboriginal players i just think there hasn't been one come up at the right time.

Agreed on trading and use the preseason draft too.

Burns can't even get a game at the Crows,who aren't much better than us.
How many goals has Bizzell kicked at Melbourne ?
Hardly any,as he's played in defence.

BTW,getting Grgic had nothing to do with the Bizzell trade.We got Kelly & Playfair for the Bizzell trade.

As Jubs said, the Grgic trade had NOTHING to do with the Bizzell trade.

Harry Miller and Aaron Davey will both be excellent players and were both passed over by us. Throw in Shane Harvey if we were to be ruthless. All these guys are lightning quick forward pockets who can find the goals. Could have grabbed these guys instead of say Thurley or Koula.

It's got me stuffed why we keep picking up midsized marking flankers and pockets with no pace. Is it just me We get no goals from our midfield and no multiple goals from our crumbers.

Unless Graham, McCarthy or Kingsley can contribute 10 between them we can't win. FACT. They will only do this 6 or 7 times a year because they are ordinary players at best.

We passed Harry Miller to take Cameron Thurley, a goal kicking forward who obviously Geelong thought was a better goal kicking forward than Miller.

Aaron Davey was passed over to take Koula who is doing a decent job in the VFL at the moment. Shane Harvey was also passed for Koula, and Harvey didnt want to be a Geelong anyway so there was no point recruiting him.

Bizzell may be playing better at Melb, due to the fact hes playing in a totally different position, and as for burns well hes just as on and off at Adelaide as he was at Geelong, i was glad to hear when we got rid of them actually, i cant wait for Koula to take his place in the Geelong side, does anyone know when that will actually occur??

And as 4 Geelong having no excitement apart from the likes of Ablett, look at Tenace, kelly and Koula in the VFL, now they r bloody exciting to watch even in a losing side.

Alot of the people here want Koula in this week, whether it happens or not tho is another thing, those in high places have their reasons that us peasents cant always understand

*Burns was doing jack all and still is.
*Colbert chose to leave himself, and there was not much we could do to stop him.
*Bizzell was playing inconsistent footy at Geelong, and thus we traded him away. Whether we played him in the wrong position is another thing altogether.
*Street had many years to prove himself, and sadly didn't impress the staff. Loats, whom we have in turn recruited, is a much more mobile ruckman, and though he may not be as good a tap ruckman as Street was, he can play a forward role for us as well. If you watched any VFL games last year, you would have seen Loats dominate many games for Box Hill, expecially in the finals series. It is only now that it looks bad that we let Street go, but I'm confident it was for the better of the club.

We should've also kept Bennett,Brockman,O'Brien,Simon Fletcher,Adam Houligan and Biddiscombe.
