How are we all feeling in regards to the upcoming season?

Optimistic?.....nervous?.....fearful?

Surely the injury run can't be as bad this year as last.

Keen for next Friday, should be a good turn out if the weather is decent

Absolutely putrid second half, not fit enough, not skilled enough, not well coached....the place breeds mediocrity!

I won't disagree about the second half fade out, however it is worth noting we came up against the clear best team in the comp.

One game against a team who has lost a single match in over a year is too small of a sample size to make broad statements on how well the coaching team is doing.

On a other point I read in the west that the crowd was around 1200.....surely that isn't correct? felt like a lot more there on Friday....I would guessed at least 2k

We've been involved in quite a few games but we're just not getting the job done, hopefully we see some improvement over the next few weeks.

A fair number of new blokes still bedding, plus a pretty tough draw (the two grand finalists and the eagles finally have actual list depth now)

This weekend is gonna be tough, tigers are flying and their posh bog marsh is jarring place to play. Not expecting a win, but simply can't get flogged if we want to be taken seriously.

The three games after that are where the season will be defined.....all at home, all winnable, and with the state game wedged inbetween them, most blokes will get a weeks rest and surely we should have the connections and game plan flowing 🤞

You cant have any gameplan when your skill level is as poor as ours!
Need to make kick and handball execution a priority asap!

Good showing yesterday, was a game we simply had to win and boys did it pretty emphatically.

Week off and then two more home games in a row after that, so if we're any chance of playing finals footy this year they simply have to be wins also.

After today's result it's become clear we aren't playing finals this season.

The ressies are the team to get on in 2026

Our season was done well before yesterday, as I pointed out after Rd1 our skill level is as poor as it has ever been and that is saying something. Of course zero emphasis is ever placed on this and our ladder position year after year never changes.
You know you are going poorly as a club when you start following the Reserves as a priority over your League team!

One thing that has been very noticeable if you watch Swans every week is the very poor skill level.
I would think as the coach a heavy emphasis would be placed on this during pre season and during the regular season but I am not seeing any improvement whatsoever in kicking, handballing, marking, picking the ball up off the ground, tackling etc. I hear about gameplans all the time but if you cant execute the fundamentals of the game they are null and void as you keep handing the opposition the football all the time.
On another point we had 53 less disposals yesterday, but then also 13 less tackles, how is that even possible unless you are not working hard enough!
