Wirrapunda over C Johnson imo. I know Johnson held his own in the great brissie team but I don't remember him ever being a star or one of the best players like Wirrapunda was at times

Also agree with the poster above Cyril was very flattered by playing in that Hawks team and nowhere near as good as we are supposed to believe. I would have him a long way down the list behind Jeff Farmer

First they need to mend relationships with one of the best indigenous players ever in Goodesy though.

Need more acknowledgement of the indigenous people of Australia in sport.

In relation to recognising footballer’s, the WAFL & SAFL are so far ahead of the AFL in this respect, it ain’t funny.

It’s all to do with history, indigenous players have been dominating at WAFL & SAFL, since the day dot. To the AFL ( Vic..... ), they are still taking steps to recognise them.

If he's claiming it, then yeah - sure. My indigenous friends get pretty upset when they are queried about their heritage and asked to 'prove' it and I don't blame them.

Goodes could be played as a third tall or anywhere in the midfield. Probably the most diverse player on the list. Maybe just move Wayne Carey to CHF, Lance to FF and Jurrah out (I'd take Matera over Jurrah all day)

Atm we have to highlight and celebrate indigenous players due to racism. To change the ingrained perception of some.

But i think at some point we need to stop, or it will have an adverse affect.
