Mazey Day, Metalhead and The Waldo Moment are the bottom tier for me.

Miley Cyrus episode is probably by itself in the next tier up. It was average but at least somewhat entertaining.

Then it all gets better from there.
Waldo Moment is such a love it or hate it episode. I absolutely loved it and feel its probably the most predictive and socially important of any episode, but Im also aware Im in the minority on that one.

One of my all time favorites was Nosedive as its so relateable and love that improvised scene at the end.

When I saw White bear I hated the protagonist and couldn't stand her. Thought she was the worst actress I've ever seen, but by the end I realized she was much better than I'd thought. Not an overly strong episode

White Christmas is one of my favorites. It did feel a little obvious at certain points. The blocking feature is ******* savage. I feel there's a bit of a logical plot hole with Joe's story. One that I'll watch again for sure.

Crocodile was really good. I rate Andrea and remembered her from Oblivion. Sick episode but dark as *.

Joan is Awful - Interesting concept but felt it was lacking in depth

Bandersnatch was good. I'm not sure about the interactive nature of it. Kinda annoyed me more than anything. I'm not on Netflix to play a game.

Hang the DJ was good

Be Right Back is probably my most hated episode so far. Did not like it at all.
Nosedive, White Christmas, National Anthem - these are where it's at it's core. I feel they've lost their edge on how technology enables and corrupts society.
I didnt think Nosedive was gonna be that good, but it really was.

I still love shut up and dance the most for utter punch in the guts end.
brilliant writing and directing. the kid is amazing in it too.

My best rated actors and eps are

Andrea Riseborough Crocodile
Jon Hamm - White Christmas
Andrew Scott - Smithereens

Just saw the preview for new season and realised it's out as of yesterday. Can't wait to get stuck in. Hopefully back to what Black mirror is than what last season was.

2 episodes in and loved them both. Plaything i watched first and was impressed because i liked Bandersnatch and gaming.

Bete Noir just had me in a WTF type moment when it finished in classic Black Mirror style!

But i am biased and this is the best series ever made!

Watched common people first up and thought it was amazing. Maybe too long between black mirror eps but the good episodes of this hit like no other show. Can't wait to watch the rest.

S07E01 Common People was disturbing because it told a realistic story about what might happen with near future biotechnology.

S07E02 Bete Noire was good but more fanciful about what future technology can achieve.

Ep 3 Hotel Reverie. The story was a bit meh.
Ep 4 Plaything. Nice intrigue and build up to a climax.
Ep 5 Eulogy. Good story and Paul Giamatti was awesome as usual.
Ep 6 USS Callister: Into Infinity. A sequel to the Space Fleet story in series 4. Not really my thing.

Been posting my thoughts in the Netflix thread but 3 eps in and here are my thoughts so far:

First episode ‘Common People’ jeez they weren’t holding back here. Watching this before bed and it kind of ****ed me up. Scarily accurate as to where we’re heading with subscription services and doing messed up shit online for money and clout. Fantastic first episode. Keen to see more.

Second episode ‘Bete Noire’ probably not as good as the first episode and the twist was a bit far fetched but I still had fun here. Season 7 is cooking so far.

Third episode 'Hotel Reverie' hit the San Junipero vibes (while not as good). Needed a pallett cleanse after the first two bleak and dark episodes and this one come at the right time. Not sure if I vibed with the chemisty between the main two leads though.

Only watched a couple episodes from Season 6 but with how quality this has been so far I might have to go back and finish the rest of that season.

Yeh I watched community people before bed too, not a great idea!

Do 6 before finishing 7 if that's your plan. Every episode of 7 has been better than 6 for me so don't leave the rest of 6 until last.

Watched plaything and eulogy now too. Plaything was cool but forgettable. Eulogy as moving as common people but much more subtle than the corporations are out to get us. Paul Giamatti was brilliant.

Have only watched the first two episodes but it feels a lot lighter than previous seasons. Leaning in to the comedy aspects rather than trying to make masterpieces.

They absolutely nailed enshittification & subscription models, twitch & onlyfans and paid healthcare in episode 1. The only bit that annoyed me a bit was they put in the lux ad about getting skills like parkour, then she never used anything! Not an elite episode but made me laugh.

Episode 2 felt a little like Demon 79, which I never thought was quite as bad as other people did. It felt like it dragged a little, especially early on, but again made me laugh a lot and enjoyed the ridiculous ending

I thought Common People was very sad and dark.

I guess it was overall (though probably not by Black Mirror standards), and Rashida Jones in particular was pretty sad, but I thought they found a way to insert a lot of comedy in there too. The Rivermind rep had me laughing often because the way she talked through the subscription nonsense was just so relatable to what it feels like dealing with almost any big company in 2025.

I really enjoyed the whole season. No absolutely top shelf episodes but everything was good to very good. Probably my second favourite Netflix season behind 3. For me, plaything was probably the only easy one to rank as my least favourite. The rest all very good, maybe something like-

6. Plaything
5. Bete noire
4. Common people
3. Hotel reverie
2. Eulogy
1. USS callister

I tend to prefer the eps with a bit of hope at the end which might be why I put hotel reverie ahead of common people and callister ahead of eulogy.
