Club issues a media release the day before, advising that an announcement would be made the following day at Family Fun Day.

On day of Family Fun Day. Release the prepared media statement from the office by fax to media outlets with phone number for phone interviews. Those media who get to Wet'n'Wild also have an opportunity to ask questions and take photos (mostly television media outlets). Others may phone in.

Everybody is happy. Supporters also get to congratulate the new captain (Simon Black).

was on the City Cat yesterday heading into town for Little Britain Live and we were watching a couple of blokes kicking a footy about in the park next to the Hawthorne Bulimba ferry stop and I mentioned that that blokes got a good kick on him and my partner says hang on a minutes that's Blacky!! Other bloke with him was a good kick too but kept dropping it. Couldn't see who that was though, had a cap and sunnies on.
