Blade Runner is my all time favourite movie. I didn't mind Blade Runner 2049, as I thought Villeneuve captured the mood of the first movie, even if the story was a rehash of PKD's novel.
Just not sure where they could go with Blade Runner 2099. There were novels written as sequels to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by K.W. Jeter (and these sequels were authorised by PKD's estate), but they were set in the immediate aftermath of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? so I doubt that they will assist the showrunners create Blade Runner 2099.
