Is that how much they cost? Fact or making shit up? Use their experience around the young guys. Replace the old battlers who offer no leadership and know how on what it ta:D

Fwiw I'd only target one otherwise they do become cloggers but having one would help. A Daniel cross at Melbourne type.
Firstly they wouldn't cost anywhere near that amount but I guess you are being sarcastic...
Secondly they are not currently on our list and guys like Arnot and O'Hanlon aren't getting games sadly they haven't been good enough.. even though I would like to see them get a game before the club makes a decision on them.. but if someone is knocking down the door in the reserves they will play..
just thinking what their managers would start the bidding at and abit toungue in cheek :D

I could handle Carlisle and Frawley , however would need to couple them with a couple of inside mids and allow Dustin and lids to play solely outside as they did in the first half last night .
We need to keep persisting with Miles and Vlaustin as they are certainly up to it as inside mids , we need to find at least two more. Now is the time to find out whether Conca and Arnott can produce in that role . Whilst we need to have a crack at state league and other clubs for pure inside mids. someone like Douglas and wouldn't be against having a crack at a couple of younger players like crozier or Mitchell.

I'd like us to make a move for someone like Jack Darling from WCE, Solid forward, good kick and young.
Thinking Darling and Frawley could be very very good!

Seems to be a pattern developing here:(

Tyson had grown up barracking for Richmond, but when the Tigers had him over to coach Damien Hardwick’s house - with Trent Cotchin, Brett Deledio and Chris Newman all playing a part in the pitch - it just didn’t feel right. “Maybe I was too young. I’d only played one year and it still felt like I was star gazing a bit,” he said. ‘It just wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted to go back to Sydney. It felt like I’d only just gotten started up there and it wouldn’t have been the right thing, to pack up and leave after only one year. I’d started to settle in up there. I wanted to give it a chance.”

Forgot about Grigg..

I think he is back in 4-6 weeks .. apparently the surgery to remove the sand from his vagina has been a success..
Top post.
Once again dont think anyone has suggested all 3. Just throwing out some names. One or Two will be more than enough. We have players like Grigg, Thomas, Petterd and Foley already hindering the progress of our younger players. Names mentioned will hopefully replace the above.

You would hope their on-field leadership would shine through and organise a set up that may impact a centre bounce or something. They may not do something brilliant themselves but could rally the team.

At least if ROK and Sewell are there they'll know what the acceptable standards of a top club are and impact that on the younger brigade.
Not if they're too old to lead by example any more.

For mine our players don't need their hand held on the field by a has-been (with all due respect) player to change the culture.

They need to be led every day to learn and maintain the standards required with no shortcuts. Our players have as much to learn from Monday-Friday as they do from a match-day perspective.

It's all relative.

So we replace players who are already contracted and supposedly hindering the development of the young kids, with 32 year olds who would also take the place of young kids. How can this be considered a good idea?

"I won't go into figures, but the bottom line is we've got room to recruit and we'll be active in that regard, whether it will be this year or whether it will be the end of next year, (which) was probably more the timing that we were planning for.

"You want [opposition players] to be able to choose Richmond as a club of destination, if in fact they actually want to leave where they're currently at.

"But certainly over the next few months that will be a big focus. Our list management strategy on the whole will be a real focus of myself and Blair Hartley, our list manager."
Thoughts?

Home Finals at the MCG
mundy - no way too old
only option is Frawley
Trade Vickery + 2nd round for Carlisle and 2nd round

Spine of:
Astbury
Carlisle
Cotchin
Frawley
Riewoldt

That's nice..................very nice:D
Carlisle's about to get rubbed out for doping. I seriously can't believe people are still entertaining the idea of recruiting Bomber players.

Correct. Which more the reason. Our players are slack and need to be lifted during the week.

Well I am thinking Danger 2015.

Fyfe FA might be after.

Don't think Adelaide will mind, they could use the compo to get a good SA kid in the 2015 draft, do a rebuilt for a few years, get Gibbs next FA and others and that suits them about right. Without a mini rebuild Adelaide can't win the premiership IMO. They might target Port players later via FA to give them the quality consolidated boost they need with the required timing. Eg. towards the end of their rebuild probably chase Wingard via FA

Not sure about this year. Maybe go the draft, have a look at O Rourke, not sure about Jaksch from his latest few games

We obviously have our ideas which are very different. It looks like none of us will sway either way.
