Leave Cotchin, Rance , Jack , Ellis and Vlaustin out and then take your pick . That leaves about 35 , could call it a garage sale if you like .

Well on the one hand I think you are being overly harsh. As much as Martin annoys he is in the elite bracket, under a coach that can keep his head in the game.

And I've always liked what I've seen of Astbury and Dea for example. Lennon looks a good un with another preseason ditto McDonugh. Really cant tell much about LLoyd, Arnot etc.

Conversely in the cold hard light of day I think the reality is nobody is going to have a bar of the guys you actually really want to turf out when push comes to shove. I get a fit of the giggles every time I see a Richmond supporter include Vickery in any trade scenario as anything other than negative value.

So I dont know theres much point if as you say the intent is to get other clubs fishing round your flotsam. The ones they might nibble are the ones you dont want to give, and they can smell the scent of your reject bin a mile off.

I'm not against bringing in ROK or Sewell on the cheap, but denigrating Petterd as a squib to suit your argument loses you credibility. The bloke's as tough as they come.
May not be a squib in terms of courage, but a squib because he doesn't work hard enough. His attempted tackle on the weekend was a disgrace. He's not an afl player yet we play him often.

You can't compare him to guys like Sewell and O'Keefe.

They don't stand up when the chips are down hence they are tradable .

Wow...

And who are you going to pick up?

Gibbs will re sign. So will Mundy after extracting as much as he can for his last contract, and he is too old for you anyway.

The only one both useful and some chance of being available is probably Frawley. And he's not going to solve anything. Otherwise you might bump up the price of someone like a Goldsack or Winderlich so much their club says see ya later and thats about it. This is not a great year to be getting bullish about free agents, and everyone knows it.

It's not a quick fix. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater will make it slower.

Vlastuin, Conca, Miles, McDonough, Helbig, Arnot. I just think we need a Mundy-type as a quality stop-gap until a few more of these blokes come on.
Vlaustin. Yes Arnott possibly the rest have no or poor form as a inside mid. I do agree they need a extended go , however I would be reluctant to say they are certainties or even highly possible TBH .

It's good to see your football manager volunteering to be every player manager's favourite stalking horse as they use Richmond to scam an extra 10-20% on their client's next contract for their current clubs.
Once a manager always a manager. Probably on the take.

When their clubs have decided to get rid of them. Usually for value. We offloaded Dawes and Shaw under contract, and an uncontracted Wellingham, all for value. We picked up Karnezis when he wanted to come home, for a trade.

What trade do you think you could pull off? Someone from GWS perhaps? A Jaksch for example?

So you would reward out of form players like Elton, Arnott and Helbig in the 2's..... okie dokie. Why not reward form? arent you just replacing 1 out of form player with another?

I wouldnt be gifting anyone any games unless they deserved it.
Gifting games is DH trait
Have you been watching this year? Selection nights this forum goes into meltdown

I could handle Carlisle and Frawley , however would need to couple them with a couple of inside mids and allow Dustin and lids to play solely outside as they did in the first half last night .
We need to keep persisting with Miles and Vlaustin as they are certainly up to it as inside mids , we need to find at least two more. Now is the time to find out whether Conca and Arnott can produce in that role . Whilst we need to have a crack at state league and other clubs for pure inside mids. someone like Douglas and wouldn't be against having a crack at a couple of younger players like crozier or Mitchell.
By playing Thomas dh is destroying Arnott's career at PR

I missed the cubic zirconias in the rough. My apologies.
its all good dude, the plan has always been to promote to the rest of the comp players who are not going to be around and keep the real jets away from prying eyes and have them develop their unique skills in the 2s. Once they have reached their prime, we lift the cup and everyone will be thinking how did that happen. Now keep it quiet though. I have devulged classified info so promise me you wont pass it on to your brains trust. If you do, then make them promise you that they wont pass it on the rest of the comp, because it could be the x-factor that propels you into the stratosphere of greatness.

Outside Mid with questionable kicking. Would need to do too much with a Richmond top on, great in good team, elite in a great team. Won't fix Richmond without help around him.
At least we will have a gun to watch for 12 months until we throw him into the leadership group and he ends up doing things the Richmond way:oops:
