Dogs is confusing for me right now - I'm getting mixed messages from some I've spoken to. Some are saying they are still considering Patton. They know next year isnt their year, and Patton if his body is good could be a once in a generation forward. But I've heard from other mates they are looking elsewhere seriously too. Who knows...

On Ryder, think I read in the press his missus basically wants out of Melbourne, so you think that would put the Lions and Swans in the box seat. With the Lions, also heard they may look at moving on Berger if they get Ryder, as they know even injured he'll attract a good pick.

Not sure on Carlisle. No doubt clubs are chasing him, just not sure if he is ready to bite.

I am happy to put tigs2010 tiny little balls on the line and say this. I am 100% convinced that Shiel will be a tiger by no later then the 2016 season. I am getting more confident we can do it this year but i always expected next year. As to WHE, he wants out of blacktown. So who knows what may happen.

They already had a top 3 guy though. And gave that and a top 10 pick to get another top 3 guy. If he was out of contract then fair enough. They did the right thing to trade him before he came out of contract but IMO they traded him for unders anyway. May as well have hung onto him and convinced him to stay. They could have got a similar deal this year anyway

Yeah I understand the point but maybe it was clear he was gone and it was the best they could do under the circumstances. Maybe they thought Kelly was a better player than they thought they had with Tyson.

Sure he's turned it over and overcommited to contests this year, but he's still doing a good job at keeping small forwards quiet. Best 22 imo, just tell him to handball it more.

You'd have to say Shiel, he's got more runs on the board, where O'Rourke was probably rated just as highly as a junior but has done SFA since, largely due to injury. Pretty different types in any case, but I'd say Shiel is the one with proper star capability.
