Dunkley sounds like a poor mans Teloar and reportedly slipping down the draft order. Would he fill our need for an inside beast?
Thing is we are now getting to the stage of entering our premiership window. I would prefer to trade for blokes who are 22-26 and playing their best footy while Lids/Jack are still in peak form.

People should remember how poor Higgins was last year for the dogs off half back. He was banished to the VFL because he was so unaccountable.
Yes Higgins might have been dropped because they knew he would leave but Carlton don't have the talent on their list to take that option IMO.

I think Yarran could turn it around in a similar way....
100% he could.

People rating him low and saying he is no good are kidding themselves. We tag him with a defensive forward every time we play them for a reason.

He was pick 6 in a strong draft and has shown why he was taken there.

Throw him in a side with all our young talent and he won't be in our best 5-6 but is a pretty dam good player to have in the next few. I am keen as mustard on him and if it involves our first pick we just need to get something else back.

Think people not liking his attitude or arrogance are letting it affect their judgement.

Would be a nightmare to deal with on our forward line.

Carlton entering the fray they want a KPP if the loose Henderson to Geelong , Geelong interested in Yarran if they loose Motlop . None of geelong's tradeable talls appeal to Carlton but astbury, Elton and Griffiths do .
Don't tell cats fans that. Vardy, Walker et al are way better then our young talls ;)

Is it three players that we have to drop from the senior list at the end of the year for the Draft? If so, who do we think is on the way out? Axel would be one, Newman potentially another - McDonough?, Arnott?, Petterd?
Knights is out of contract. Gordon, Lloy and McDonough we will keep 2 of the 3 on 1 year deals and dump the other if we need extra spots or for some insane reason give Newy another year.

One player who is out of contract and hasn't re-signed yet,Which i find surprising as to why he hasn't and why his name hasn't been talked about around the traps is Tom Lynch(crows version).Says he's happy at the crows but leaving it to his manager(Shock Horror revelation).Would make an excellent foil for Jack.Griff>>Lynch.

I think Lids and Lennon have that role sewn up.

Surplus to needs imo.

I think Yarren would be a good fit at the Tiges. Different club fresh start & good coaches would get the best out of Chris. We have all seen the difference it can make to players who have confidence, solid support & buy into a strong culture (difference is chalk & cheese)...

How much weight do you give to the fact that he has been shithouse this year and his disposal sucks or do we put it down to Yarran being mentally checked out of Carlton and not giving a shit.
Apologies if I missed something (I didn't read pages 2 through 8 of this thread), but I'm not overly keen on any player that mentally checks out. Most of the games of VFL/AFL I've ever watched have had multiple blokes in yellow and black do that. That's why my favourite Tigers include Jake King, Shane Tuck, Dan Jackson and Ivan Maric. Not the most skilled, but they come to play, every time.

Yarran is a talent, and it is the Carlton jumper he has been disrespecting for most of 2015, so maybe it can be forgiven, but I wouldn't want him top of our wish-list.

He just has such a ugly head on him. Nothing against the bloke but he looks like he stepped out of a KKK meeting he is so white :p

Have heard this too. They're all over Carlisle early days with the Doggies as the main rivals. Have cooled a little as it became likely that Henderson would re-sign. Will know more after the Blues sign up a new coach.

I will say this - I get the feeling that there won't be a ton of trades involving KPP players this uear. There are a few in FA (Henderson, Kruezer, Carlisle, Hawkins, Dixon) and not a lot of teams who require such players - enough to offer enough money to pry players away.

This is off the back of KPP players being traded (Boyd, Bruce, Waite, Ryder, Jacksh) last trade period and so many first round draft picks being KPP.
