Need Smith from Suns as our ruckman.I have a feeling that after been omitted from yesterday's game Lennon probably seek a trade rightly so imo.Need a small forward like a Garlett or Daniel Rioli in the draft.Need another inside mid so Dusty can start inside 50.Yarran half back for Newman would be ideal
Lol yeah he got dropped so he's cracked it and will ask for a trade. Do you honestly think second year players do that? He played like 6 games for the year mate. If he did that it reeks of terrible attitude and a guy that nobody would want on their team anyway. It's called using the disappointment to help fuel the fire to want to improve. You think instead of wanting to get better and earning a spot in the best 22 he'd go the other way and sook it up and ask to be traded? Newsflash buddy, he'd be borderline best 22 at any other top 8 club. So I'm not sure where he's asking to be traded to.
I know we're all disappointed but can some of you blokes think rationally before you post?

Richmond's No.12 pick Ben Lennon is also set to wait until the end of the season before talks progress about his next deal.
Sounds pretty much gone to me and that was mid way thru the season that quote

He was interviewed after the essendon game and he seemed pretty happy at the Tigers and to just sort it out at the end of the season.
People over react to players putting off contract talks to the end of the season because of FA.
Before FA it was quite normal.
IMO he would be doing that because he was playing games and upping his value.

[QUO62, post: 40888883, member: 154795"]It actually isn't a bad thing if Richmond lose guns while securing other guns. This team as a union have deficiencies in the core, so to shake the list up a little may actually pay off.

The core needs a bit of a change up in order to win a final, whether it is losing some core players while replacing them with other star players or (preferably) pushing some of the core players to the fringe after bringing in elite talent.

I'd only consider Rance and maybe Deledio as elite in Richmond's team, so they are the only two I'd say are not worth losing. I'd also keep Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt even though I don't consider them as elite, but other than them, I'd lose any player to gain a Dangerfield or Nat Fyfe type.

The bottom line is, Richmond does not have enough elite players to be extremely competitive. Dangerfield should have been a must to chase in the club's perspective this off season. Richmond's A-graders are just not good enough[/QUOTE]
You know your footy; ; exactly right , if everyone on field for both sides gives their best, the more talented team wins, 0 from 3 tells even blind freddy tigers , we need better talented players so teams cant easily pick who to stop.

We need a proper tank midfielder. Miles is great at it but he is too small to do any damage to the opposition when he crashes in. We never found a replacement for Tuck and I think that is the one thing we need desperately. That and a taller more nimble ruckman as well.
KMac can replace Tuck IMO. He needs a big summer in the gym and he will be huge.
IMO next year we should move KMac into the inside mid role and bring in C.Ellis to play outside. Just until his body develops.

The number 1 thing about a Matthew Kreuzer is he is another big body once the ball hits the ground in the middle I think he would help Cotch a fair bit, if we can't get a big body mid I wouldn't mind looking at him to help crash in at bounces

That sound good for Kmac but in my opinion being an inside mid can't be taught. That will to throw your body in and under and straight at the opposition is something a coach can teach or player just emulate.

If we could pry him I wouldnt mind Prestia if he were available

Johnson and Bennell for mine.
Make Bennell live with Johnson.
SJ was a knob when he was young as well then turned it around to become a 3 x primership player.

An idea outside the box but if crowley gets delisted, i think we should sign him as either a rookie or staff member so that at training he can sit on cotch and hassle him all training until he learns to break a tag.

Brilliant Idea. He should alternate though between cotch and lids

Why are we turning KMac into an inside midfielder? Have you all freaking lost the plot? He is one of the fastest players in our team and he provided multiple goal assists yesterday by delivering the ball inside 50 and got on the end of one himself.
Maybe I should leave the board for a few days until people start thinking rationally again. My goodness.

Contract talks involving 2nd year fringe players don't operate in the same way they do for stars.

Half way through the year he wasn't getting a game. There's no way he was gonna sign up while his value was so low. By waiting until the end of the year he's driven his value up by ~50-100k a year or so.
