Poor inamedthegiants got invited over to the Pies board to supposedly back up their claims about Treloar always wanted to go to the Pies and when he doesn't they do nothing but hurl abuse at him because he states that what we've said about Treloar preferring us until late in the piece was true.

We were the first club to put 2 first round picks on the table for Treloar and haven't deviated from that stance, in fact that offer is still sitting their if the Pies continue to believe that they can get the deal done for pick 7 and a VFL player, when everyone knows that the Giants are after picks only as they want to have points available to enable them to get their academy kids without going into deficit for next year. If I understand the future picks trading, GWS would lose their own first round pick next year if they owed points but would get to keep our pick in the first round.

So I guess now the ball is in the Pies court as far as Treloar is concerned, pony up pick 7 this year and a possible top 10 pick from next years stronger draft for Treloar as well as $750k in cap space or let him go. If they don't I know we're there waiting in the wings just like we were with Judd when he went to Carlton and that made Carlton pay a big price, one that came back to haunt them down the track.

In all honesty I think we've moved on from Treloar and focusing on other deals like Bennell/Redden/Kreuzer/Yarran. However we keep hanging around in the background saying that if GWS don't get the deal they want from the Pies we're ready to go. To facilitate that I believe we're working on deals that would land us those players without trading out our first round picks until Treloar is signed and sealed for the Pies or anyone else.

At the very least we're going to make someone pay big to get the kid, not sure the Pies who are still rebuilding their list are going to want to go down that path.

You're not in the game. He chose Collingwood, and we have the picks to satisfy GWS, there's nothing more to it.

Just because Slobbo says you guys should make a last minute pitch doesn't mean it'll actually work.

How many players don't go to the clubs they nominate?

We wanted Judd and threw everything to get him, but he nominated Carlton, and that was that.

You guys might force us to pay more, which is probably what GWS is playing at, but why would you waste your time when he hasn't nominated you? Throw your lot at Aish, make a last minute play for Danger, who hasn't declared.

You do have the picks but will you use them? 1st rounder this year and next will have to be used to get it done. Will you do it?

Some of them are being okay.

Some still hate me for my outspoken stance of not wanting Witts.

Some hate me for my spelling and grammar.

Considering he hasn't signed yet, which is strange for a second year player in his home state, I am going to assume Ben Lennon is gone.

I also don't think our second pick is enough for Yarran.

I wouldn't be against:

Out: Lennon + Second Round
In: Yarran + Carlton second round (19)

Out: Carlton Second Round
In: Lobbe

Essentially we would be trading out Lennon plus our second round pick for Yarran and Lobbe.

wow, people here suffer from short term memory loss.
Have people not realised the initial reason why Bennell is being traded? He's kicked out of the club!
Since Dimma arrived, we havent been picking players with bad attitute problems. (Conca/Ellis X2, Vlastuin/Lennon)
They all have good personalities and leadership qualities. Martin is just a gun and has been looked after really well.

We simply won't be going for Bennell because of his issues. If anyone, it will be Hawthorn. (Garlett)

We need Stevie J/Yarran and a ruckman! With a close eye on the Treloar situation.

That would be a shocking deal!! Lennon is a future gun and already coming good. Has elite skills just needs to work on maturing.
If we traded him, then our football club has completely lost the plot and actually has no idea what it's doing

Tigers and opposition posters, I have cleaned up dozens of off topic posts including personal attacks. This is time consuming and I am in no mood. The next person to attack a poster or derail this thread will be thread banned.

Love always Uncle Morro
I thought deleting posts was only a mod power?? :p
