don't they realise it's Witts refusing to go there.....
For most of the year they've been throwing him down our throats, saying Witts and their first is a fair trade.

I don't expect them to know our list inside out but our developing rucks are not far, if not equal to, Witts in terms of development.

Hence why I don't think we need him.

Anyway, Witts comes out this week and says he wouldn't entertain a trade here anyway.

You do have the picks but will you use them? 1st rounder this year and next will have to be used to get it done. Will you do it?
It seems you guys will push us to use them, and I have no issues with that. We'll try to get Treloar as cheaply as possible, all clubs try to get the deal that suits them, and ultimately a compromise is found.

My question is, why aren't you guys throwing everything at Danger? Out of the two, he seems to be a better fit given you're currently in your premiership window. Treloar will still need a few years until he peaks. Danger is already at his peak, and would massively boost your chances for a premiership tilt as early as 2016.

Umm, it's been widely reported that both GWS and Sydney were interested in Witts, that's why we offered him.

wow, people here suffer from short term memory loss.
Have people not realised the initial reason why Bennell is being traded? He's kicked out of the club!
Since Dimma arrived, we havent been picking players with bad attitute problems. (Conca/Ellis X2, Vlastuin/Lennon)
They all have good personalities and leadership qualities. Martin is just a gun and has been looked after really well.

We simply won't be going for Bennell because of his issues. If anyone, it will be Hawthorn. (Garlett)

We need Stevie J/Yarran and a ruckman! With a close eye on the Treloar situation.
Dimma has started that the reason they ent for good characters is that the club needed a revamp from the ground up, and bringing in good characters was the only way to do that. We have now gotten to the point where our core group is established, so we can take a punt on a player who has behavioural problems, if the rewards are pretty high, which, in Bennell's case, we are.

We cannot jsut be a club that takes the safe option all the time, otherwise we will never get where we need to go. We need to take risks, within reason. Bennell is the type of player we need, and lack. Put him on a contract with a probation period of 12 months where any indescretion means immediate termination, followed by a normal 2 year contract, with only 1 chance to stuff up. Stuffs up a second time in his second or third year, and he is done. Back Choco in to mentor hiim and look after him.

Right. We can't target Treloar because he is almost certain to go to Collingwood, but you suggest we target Dangerfield when it is widely accepted that it is either Geelong or Adelaide? Pull your head out of your arse and stop being hypocritical.

Treloar has nominated us, that's why it is almost certain he will come to us.

Nothing has been confirmed with Danger, or will be confirmed until Hawthorn knocks them out on Friday.

Until then, it's all speculation with Danger.

Nothing is set in stone, Treloar or Danger, until the deal is actually finalised come trade week.

Danger is wayyyyyy too expensive. We'd be looking at near a mill.
Who gives a **** if he's worth a mill? You know what, he is a better player than any of our on ballers. If he can drag our sorry arses over the line for a GF, you reckon it's worth the cost? We need to have a dip. Or are you clearly happy recruiting broken down players cheaply and being overlooked by other players, and we continue to get what we are now?

From the journos who's sources are generally Twitter and Big Footy?
As opposed to you, who seems to be contradicting everything that's been reported. Fairfax, News Corp, Fox Sports, AFL.com.au - they've all got it wrong, but some random poster on BF has got it right. Well not the first time I've seen this on BF.

Anyway, I see you're in our thread on the Collingwood board, so let's not bother the Richmond folk anymore.

Yes, playing it safe only gets you so far. Bennell is exactly what we need playing wise.

Luenburger is good when up and running hos solely a first ruck and doesnt drift forward much. His body hasnt held up byut i think a softer surface would help
Does Kreuzer still get monstered by big ruckmen? If he does what's the point? Also Leuenberger is crap. Why do people want him?

Have to laugh at Collingwood fans who don't think that they have offered Treloar more than we have.

They did it with Adams, when he was looking like he was ours for the most part of the season.
They did it with Greenwood.

So why is it such an outrageous claim that they have outbid us once again?

Yeah, all that integrity and good bloke stuff. It made me feel fantastic that we have so many stand up citizens in the club as we got bounced from finals 3 years straight. We may have lost the final, but by christ, we won the moral one.
