Who have we been talking to?

There are some names I'm best not to mention yet. We spoke with Motlop. Obviously Treloar. Yarran is our strongest chance. Young from Port. Stefan Martin, Lobbe and Kruezer are of interest. I think we're cold on Bennell.

I keep hearing Yarran defiantly wants to come to us. Has told his manager.
Kreuzers manager has asked for $670k per year. Scared us off quickly.
We offered more money and better picks for Trealor yet he still wants to go to Collingwood, club still doesn't know why and are a bit shitty about it.
We have inquired about JOM but just to see if there's a chance to get him before his contract runs out.

For the life of me can't understand why people are heaping the blame on Conca, came on and had an impact, what more can you ask of him. Played a quarter and a half and had just as many if not more possessions than Cotch, Sheds and Ellis, give the kid a break. Yeh he made a few errors and maybe he didn't have the match practice to play but we had much bigger problems than Conca yesterday, he wasn't even that bad.

Ditto calls to get rid of Batch, had a fantastic year with all singing his praises and then one bad game yesterday and suddenly he has to go? People need to just chill out.

That's shattering about Bennell if you are on the money. Lobbe is staying. Hinkley said he is a required player. Stefan Martin is pretty old, but id be okay with it. Not sure about Young, will reserve judgement on him.

On Lamb, I think the media will link us to any small forward without having any substance to the link, just because they know its one of our list requirements. I'll take it with a grain of salt.

It's amazing how everyone is bagging our back line based on one bad game, albeit a final. Our baclkline has been a revelation this year, and what worries me more is our Mis firing midfield, due to lack of service from our Rucks. And no existence of a small fwd with polish.

So for what its worth, I'd be getting Kruezer or Luey, Yarran or Bennell and Stevie J - in that order.

And Griffiths should be traded while he still has value. Such a dissapointing player. Can kick it 70, but misses almost every time from 30.
I'd like to give Griffiths a chance as no.1 ruck to see how he goes. He's got enough going for him IMO. He's currently OK in the ruck while not good. Good pack mark, raking kick which is more useful entering f50 than within it. Good agility/hands in close, good size (more suitable for ruck than vickery). Just feels like his biggest asset is most useful down the ground rather than with his back to goal.

Not the worst idea. Invest in a younger ruck and transition Ivan. When he doesn't play, leave it to Griff & Vickery.

It'd be nice to have tried this during the season.
