Don't get me wrong, I'd want us to benefit from it. I had bloody high hopes for him but he seems to have lost 10 yards from his kicking and his set shot from 30-40 out have gone to shit.
Griff is a tough one yeah...
The worry is we trade him and he tears us apart. If he got it going he is a 200cm+ highly mobile highly atheltic beast. He could be jumping over packs clunking everything and kicking goals from 50+ metres out regularly. I still hold hope that he'll become this player.. I'd hate for that to happen against us. And to be fair on Sunday he was well underdone and as usual when our midfield gets beaten, the delivery was super poor to him.
But his missed chances also hurt.
The more I think about him..the more I do think persevere, as he does have another year on his contract.

Nothing will happen obviously until North's season is over. Since then the landscape has changed significantly. I'm still confident this player will switch clubs, maybe not so confident it will be Richmond. Richmond have basically had talks with everyone now and they haven't got enough list spots to accommodate them all. We will do our best to improve our list.
Has he been offered 2 @ Norf , 3 at RFC and 5 years at the aints . If so I know who your talking about .

Not going after Bennell is a huge mistake IMO. Typical of Richmond though to not take a risk, i was all for this system the past few years, but now that we have the stability we currently have, its probably the perfect time to take a risk as it wont kill us.

The guy is a jet and if the risk paid off he would be an absolute bargain.

Serious?

Our first rounder in an excellent draft for a bloke playing VFL and a second in a crap draft. Pies would do cartwheels and easily secure Treloar.
Witts is playing VFL because he's a first ruck and so's Grundy. He would play first ruck in our AFL side. The second is paying for Yarran, so who cares about the draft quality. I only said next year's first because I anticipate it being later than this year's. We currently have pick 12 - next year we should have 15 or later.
