We obviously went very hard for Treloar. Looking like getting StevieJ (?) and Yarran. Money for another guy. Bennel and Aish = talent but issues. Kreuzer great if health is good. Plus a few others kicking around. It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds. We've got $ and are a contender, but it looks like the leftovers are all a bit hit or miss. We'll have to be very careful trading now.

What is his strengths mate ?
According AFL.com.au he has composure, footy smarts, had the best kicking efficiency in the under 18 championships, has already worked passed copping a hard tag and he plays well beyond his years.

His weaknesses are that he's too skinny (two years ago) and he doesn't have the ability to win his own ball. He's as outside as they come.

From my observations all of that is pretty spot on. I would add that I thought he has looked really quick and his work rate is phenomenal. If I could compare him to one of our players it would probably be Brandon Ellis but with better disposal and a quicker burst.

He definitely has a lot of potential and I think if he came to us he could have an immediate impact. However, I don't see the need for him, Yarran and Bennell. I would love to have two of them (preferably Aish and Bennell) but I think we need a big bodied midfielder to help Miles out. Someone like Scott Thompson in his prime or David Mundy would be perfect.

Edited for accuracy.
While i get the joke, you can read all my posts this year and see I've never been that enamoured with Treloar. I've never seen him as a need, just a bonus and at the money and draft picks required its not necessary.

Also to anyone saying no to Bennell, two Collingwood fans on trading board put it best.

Still very young.

The whole Suns environment is toxic by all reports.

Whoever picks him up will be getting a bargain.

If it's the Tigers, my money is on them for the flag next season.
If Richmond get him for next year they will probably have the most formidable midfield: Cotchin, Deledio, Martin, Edwards, Miles, Bennell, Vlastuin, Conca

That is scary good.

Gets me excited reading stuff like that. He would add so much to our side.

Jay Clarke rekons Kruzer is the missing puzzle to the pies flag aspirations :drunk:
Have to make the 8 first don't you?

But they will get a soft draw next year being a minnow club and all, they would want to finish high with all these bucks being paid or bucks may be under the pump

Yes he has
It's been confirmed in the media he's had medicals at Collingwood and Western Bulldogs
Not saying anything more than that
Your not saying more than that?
Or the article dosent say more than that?
IMO who cares.
The result from our medical is the main thing.

I genuinely believe we are the bests placed club to turn Harley Bennell around.
We have extremely strong leadership now, the indigenous institute will do,him the world of good helping young people out and give him a real purpose he may have been lacking with the rubbish culture and leadership he has been under at the GC. Let's not forget Choco will be around to ensure he does everything to get thecbestboutbof himself.
Notbto mention he wil make our midfield scary good and winning makes everybody happy.

Agree with this. Bennell should be our number one target. If he is not, huge questions need to be asked.

What's with all these players preferring Collingwood to us? Greenwood, Treloar, Kreuzer all having a preference for the pies to us. Seems strange when you hear the murmurings about Bucks people management skills, not to mention our superior ladder position.

Maybe we are still victims of our long-standing reputation amongst players...
