Yesssss Aish this year, Weller and O'Meara soon after. We mightn't end up the best team, but my God we'll look the best.
dont want O'Meara that'll be a big flop - his knee's cant hold up, and from what some other people have said he'd have been better off doing an ACL than the injury he did do

Inside word is that we are going HARD for Jake Melksham.
Apparently the bombers want our first round pick this year and next, but we are only offering this years first + Ben Griffiths.

Interesting times ahead.

Ha ha.

Inside word from Essendon?

Melksham is worth a 2nd rounder at best.

The trade suggestion are completely f**king ridiculous.

Every Essendon player is worth a first rounder or 2 because they're batsh*t crazy.

If you asked me well before we were linked to either, who would I rather out of Bennell and Treloar. I would have picked Bennell without even thinking about it.

He is a genuine match winner and would seriously change our team. Get it done tigers.
I seriously hope we are into Bennell. Weak draft and filling a need, its time to roll the dice provided we can make the deal short term with appropriate behavioural clauses that don't get us totally burnt if he ****s up.
However, I know we won't as unlike Treloar who fits the mould of solid citizen with a clean history, Bennell I believe will be considered too great a risk by our Football dept :(

Read the rpund1 preview or banter thread and you'll see my thoughts .
All you said was:

1) he's coming to richmond

2) he had fluid on the knee in 2012 and 2013, but it wasnt drained

Not sure what bearing any of that has on whether he has had or not had a medical with us, the pies, or the dogs

I dont see him as "too great a risk" when we took Ben Cousins (admittedly, for different reasons) Bennell is a very different "kettle of fish" than Cousins was, he's only 23 and if we get him in with Choco and especially the people at the KGI, it should work
