Our reputation at not being able to get deals with big names done is growing. Collingwood are on the ball!
Ralphy said today that clubs have a reputation of being campaigners to deal with and that reputation stops players from wanting to go there. We may not be that... but we have a stench that doesnt even get us a look in with a ******* StKilda player.

Shit... l'm still pissing myself at Jack Trengrove.

Knobs on here are saying to chill the **** out over missing out on trade targets... and then say Richardson and Hartley are genius's with an 'art of the pokjer face'.

How the **** do you work that out??? I dont recall other clubs being gutted about missing out on Thomas, Miles, Pettard, Knights and co.

These two are ******* overrated. And so it T71. Epic failures.
Need a hug mate ?

What the ****, do they even have a cap? ******* dogs.
Cloke is on biggish money. Pendlebury and Swan not so much, the former restructuring his contract to take less. Then there isn't really any other big names with a young list or recycled players. Adams on $500k, Greenwood on $400k, Treloar (after trade) $700k and Kreuzer (if he signs) $600k.

$2.2 million for those four players. Just let that sink in.

I really believe, once we win a final, we will then become a destination club again. Reality is that our rivals can easily say " yeah the tigers have done ok in the past 3 years, but they cant win a final, watch them lose this one and implode". Till we prove them wrong by actually doing something, that is the cross we bear for 30 years of shit

I can be patient and wait and I do see where some are coming from in our lack of getting A grade stars to the club, I'm prepared to see how this trade period goes before jumping down their throats but so far over the past few years they do always seem to be too far behind when the others have already made their pitches to prospective players.
I agree if we get done on Sunday and lure no one of interest in trade period the shit will hit the fan.
Let's start with winning Sunday for starters as a final win is a must for a pass this year

Collingwood know they can't be the best football team atm, they know they aren't the biggest club anymore.....

People are starting to not hate them!!

Poaching all the players from other teams, despite paying them overs....is a way to make opposition clubs still despise them. They are worried that the opposition clubs are going to hate us more than them too!

Collingwood fast becoming "Everyone's second favourite team"!!

We have been very specific over the last 5 years in identifying the type of player we need and trading for them (eg Maric and Chaplin) and we are doing the same this year. We want a small forward with leg speed that's our priority. Of course if other players become available that will improve our list then we'll have a Crack but we are not going to pay overs.
It's a deliberate and methodical way that we are going about it which will result in a balanced list. No need to deviat from what is already reaping rewards.

I actually think there is still a negative attachment to the Tigers from everyone ,media, neutral supporters and other players.
There is from oppostion players. We still have little respect as a playing group from the past 10-15 years. Its slowly changing but we still arent a very well liked club amoung opposition players.

Those who are disappointed with how things are playing out have been sucked in by nothing more than people speculating on various internet forums. My summary:

- Trelor - Aside from KB trolling the pies on radio, the mail was always that he was going the Collingwood - if you were realistic you'd not set yourself up for a melt;
- Dangerfield - Locked and loaded to the cats - we obviously put in an offer as any club that has the cash would;
- Kruser - Mobile ruck/forward is not an area we really need to address IMO. If it was a gun first ruck it would make more sense. Can't see us chasing him too hard to be honest so would not be surprised if he also ends up at the pies;
- Aish - has been linked to the pies for some time, we are now moving up in the pecking order if the pies have their priority targets - not sure if he fills a real need but you never say no to early first rounders at the right price;
- Yarren - fills a need, sounds like he is ours pending Carlton not asking for the earth;
- Bennell - Nothing but pure speculation. Not sure if his personal issues marry in with our recruiting for character philosophy?

I may be a flog but Trade week hasn't even started and your melting. what will you be like after the EF? :drunk:
Wacky is just taking the piss mate.

On most deals re the tigers, it will go quiet till after we are done in finals. We just need to confirm that our first pick will be pick 18

Agree with all this but Treloar. When our board OK'd to use our fist pick this year and next year, well I got wood and had real hope.

Whats the point in telling everyone you've got a war chest if oyur not going to use it. Deledio, Rance, Cotch have taken unders for ******* nothing.
Calm ya farm, trades cant actually happen yet, you do realise that?

So either add some value or take a break mate before you give yourself a meltdown.

Would it put your mind at ease if someone told you we are into someone who reflects Krueser but doesn't have the injury concerns or someone like treloar who is taller , better on his opposite side and doesn't have red hair ?
Richardson and hartley are masters of the poker face .
Is it the mid or the ruckman that has been mentioned in this thread?

Btw he can't be talking about Aish or O'Meara because they're both 182cm, same height as Treloar
