Don't think I'll be going to Punt Road again until 2016 that is
Being truly honest the Roos are a good team and anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves. They made a prelim for a reason last year and they added some good, but frustrating players, in Higgins and Jarred "I love tearing Richmond a new one" Waite. They were always going to be tough for us and despite how much I despise Harvey, you don't play 400 games without being star, he destroyed us, we were smashed inside and our defence panicked something shocking bar Rance, Houli and Grimes and it was massively disappointing.

But I love this club and always will. We have set a great foundation, the club now needs to be bold. Bennell for mine is one of those decisions. A big bodied mid is the other, Danger will be tough to swing but Redden is possible and i've got this thing about Ellis-Yolman now, heard some good things from my Adelaide supporting uncles.

We cannot keep being safe and I hope Dimma and Co realise it after today and this season.

Hmmm.... stuff it, just trade everyone!

Some of the stuff on here tonight is embarrassing.

We need players to add to our list.... we have clearly been going after some so it isn't like we aren't trying.

I think we need:

Big bodied contested ball gun
Small dangerous forward
Tall defender

All of these need to be elite users of the pill....

Cheers mate...

just want to add on top of that there is a difference between being bold and being ruthless. This club cannot be ruthless anymore, it's a decision that lacks foresight and consideration, and there is a reason every major sporting club around the world talks about processes and systems instead of reacting to aberrations and supporter backlash. Being bold is taking risks, usually calculated, but are strong decisions that may not come off.

We need a few things. (Somebody who can defend or shut down Harvey would be a start. Gee that guy has owned us over the years.) Likes of Dalhaus, Harvey, some of the Blues smalls over the years etc have gotten off the leash too easy.

Somebody beyond Morris that can play on the speedier smalls that get up the ground a bit. We get cut up by pacy on ballers too much. Griggs (sic) has had a good year but thought Taylor might have had a few more jobs on the quicker opposition players.

Yep North were always going to be hard for us especially as they match up very well with us.

The most disappointing thing as far as I'm concerned is we had North of the ropes (our tails were up) when we were up by 21 points twice, but on both occasions of being up by that margin we would cough up a soft goal or have momentary lapse in concentration. Which given North had some clear advantages around the ground namely Goldstein they were always going to be able to peg us back, provided we didn't get too far ahead, which of course we were never able to do. Signs of immature team and I personally had thought we had moved on from that.

Yeah I agree, we had our foot on the throat and we made an error or the got a soft free. From memory one was Rance missing Chaplin and McIntosh in a million acres and kick out of bounds.

Who gives a shit!!!!!. Everything we do is not all about right now.
Lachlan Keefe got two yrs and i would go hard at him as well if Collingwood cut him.
^ youngster.

We need 2 solid, grunty quality mids - Lambert & Miles not the answer, though I'd persist with Miles.
Quality ruck
goal kicking small/quick/skilled/resiliant

Simples.

Garlett kicked 40 goals this year, and never went goalless in a match. Melbourne gave Carlton a FOURTH ROUNDER for 40 ******* goals.
