I would saybetween 800-900 at a guess.

KNights was on $250 I believe
Foley would be on $300 I reckon
Newy on 300-350 probably

Obviously all guesses but isnt the min/av wage close to 200-250?
I think these are low figures.

Knights 300-350k(remember he was a free agent, thus on better than min wage)
Foley 400k(remember he was signed by Cameron and we brought in Richo to fix up the TPP
Newy 350-400k(ex capt.)

Knights did sign for 3 years @ $250k

Foley would be on $450+ as when he signed he was ontop of the world

Newman would also be on $450k + but with $112k on the vets as is foley

Newman also gets probably another $50k for his media and marketing work aside from his salary

Hampson i believe is also on the Grigg/Houli package at around $300k

Not sure how Newman would be on anywhere near 450k+ when he only signed a contract last season (declining). Only way his possibly on that much is if he was one of the last signed and Dan Richardson decided to give him the majority of the remaining cap space.

Yeah there is no way he is on $450k as he signed a one year contract and is barely best 22.

What? Ave wage is 300k, so for 1m is 330k odd per player. I would say its undervalued.
It's not 300k. The salary cap is about $10,000,000 and will only rise to $10.36 million in 2016. For 40 players, that works out to about $260,000 a year each, and this is after the salary cap increases.

Foley was signed on a 3 year deal back in 2012 (before Dan Richardson showed up and righted the ship). This was back when he was still a quality but injury prone player. From what I've heard he's on close to $500k a year.

Newman would be on 300-350k and at a guess I would put Knights at about 250k, but that's not really based on much at all. They would be on roughly a million between them.
I think you are not far off with your estimates but I think you will find that knights is also closer to 300+.

However the one million+ is not accurate as foley and Newman receive 1.229 percent of TPP outside the cap as veterans allowance. This equates to approximately 112.5K each. Therefore you need to take 225k of your million+ estimate. Still a heathy sum though.

I should have said about 300k, and it is close enough if you get rid of the 1st and 2nd year mandatory draftee wages.

Jed Anderson can't get a good run at the Hawks. Comes out of contract at the end of the year...

Gets in the way of us targeting and keeping better players IMO.

I know some online have banged on about his development at Hawthorn. I have had a look, considered him as a DT, Fantasy candidate, that aside in the real footy world I think he is handy but not credentialed enough for us to go to the trouble of chasing him.

Furthermore it is better Hawthorn keeps Jed Anderson because it helps them not be able to chase other better players.

Don't get me wrong, he is not useless, but I do not think he fits into our premiership mix we are building. Not sure where you would position actually to be honest, seems like a bit of a jack of all trades midfielder master of none so can't see him on the outside, can't see him on the inside, what do you do with him? Seems to be a bit of a runner with a bit of kill and we have players already that can at least match that so a no from me.

Any interest in Lachie Henderson? Would take him as a replacement for Chaplin.

He is a FA target in a few years time.

I am assuming Carlton have to have some team bigger bodies to help the new draftees so they probably better off letting go in a few years time via FA getting a good compo pick because they will be close to the bottom
