Hate to say it, if we keep performing the way we have, we wont be landing anyone of note.

We need another silky hbf. Yarran would be a good target and he would free up lids if we wanted lids to play down back and yarran forward. so its a flexible pick up. Perhaps trade vickery+3rd pick(?) or our first (if its late enough). andrew walker is another that comes to mind. go hard our first pick could do it.

A hard at it contested ball beast. Its becoming more apparent how much we miss jacksons hardness and leadership in the middle and we haven't addressed his loss. But he have tried to get someone, levi greenwood would have helped massively. dylan shiel would be an amazing get but is unlikely to eventuate. jesse lonergan for the suns would be handy and cheap (2nd/3rd round if not delisted).

finally, we need to address our lack of good quality assistants. priority goes to a forward line coach (north/swans/hawks) and a midfield/stoppages coach (ratten?).

With all respect there is alot wrong with your opinion of some players
Yarran - Agreed
Walker - Terrible choice, He will be 29 next year before playing a game for us if we were to take him and your suggesting giving up our 1st pick ? WOW
Jesse Lonergan will become a very very good hard inside outside player that was a 1st round selection , No chance he will be delisted and it would take a 1st rounder to get him to move

Agree on the coaches though, Lade & Williams (not chocco) have to be moved on and replaced

Jesse Lonergan is a type we should be going for. Talented big bodied junior, drafted a long way from home, bad run with injuries so far. A backdoor way of accessing junior talent. Could probably get him with a third rounder.

A few others I'd like us to look at who would come fairly cheap

Hayden Crozier - spark and creativity up forward with some midfield potential
Liam Sumner - as above
Taylor Garner - as above
Jimmy Toumpas - midfield depth and class or another skilful distributer off half back
James Aish - as above
Zak Jones - manic but adequately skilled small rebounding defender with pace
Tom Mitchell - midfield depth and class
Blake Acres - skilful wingman/forward, another McIntosh
Darcy Gardiner - good young tall defender
Rory Lobb - developing ruck
George Hewett - inside mid depth, another big body
Tom Clurey - KPP with an elite tank, could be tried in the midfield as TRIB has suggested

Crozier - Agreed. Out of contract and probably looking to return home.

Sumner - No thanks. Has left me less than impressed in his NEAFL games.

Garner - What's the deal here. Haven't heard much about him since he was picked up and we were supposedly strongly interested in him. I guess he could be an option.

Toumpas - Got no idea as to why he is struggling. Probably to costly for an unknown.

Aish - Will cost way too much. Better options out their for the same or similar price.

Jones - Like this although struggle to see Sydney parting ways for him cheaply and don't think we have the assets to acquire him.

Mitchell - Probably too costly and better options out for their for that price.

Acres - Don't see why Saints would get rid of a second year player who I think missed a lot of last year with injuries.

Gardiner - Pretty sure he is highly rated at the lions. Only possible if he were 'homesick'. Probably not a position in need of strengthening.

Lobb - Second year player who was taken highly. Can't see GWS wanting to trade him or Lobb requesting a trade. Better to go the FA route for a ruck man I think.

Hewett. Same as Jones really, Sydney also have trade restrictions.

Clurey - Don't mind this although I haven't really tracked his development since being drafted.

Another name I will chuck out there is Thomas Sheridan (Freo). Out of contract and is best mates with Brandon Ellis. Not sure how good of a player he is as he has struggled with injuries and breaking into the side (competing with the likes of Stephen Hill). But can supposedly run all day and has good foot skills.

I hope the club avoids Hannebury like the plague.

One of the bigger party animals going around. Rates himself very highly too. Would be a shocking addition to the chemistry of the clubhouse.
And our chemistry at the clubhouse is good?
Maybe we need a few party boys to help dusty and jack get creative again

Why isn't he playing?
Griff has been playing better.
It dosent mean we need to get rid of Vickery....
We need competition for spots. If a player in the 1s dosent preform they get dropped.
We need players in the 2s putting that pressure on the 1s though.
IMO Vickery is doing that and will play 1s this week (obviously because of Griffs injury)

Maybe not this season but surely Mcbean will be pushing for a spot next season and to a lesser extent Mckenzie.
Although Mckenzie will be more of a Cloke/Hawkins type forward and not provide a chop out in the ruck.
