Fair enough to because Sloane is not nearly worth what you think he is to us. Good luck to the Saints if they get Sloane but frankly for RFC Shiel will be a far more important player for us!
Tend to agree with this, Sloane is a gun but Sheil suits our needs better

I've been thinking about it and am kinda coming around to getting selwood. certainly fits a need in terms of leadership and on field position after losing jackson (and tuck) then we have the potential retirements and delistings in foley newman knights thomas petterd etc. we are going to need players in his age demographic and position big time.

unfortunately its just hard to see how we could get any deal done

1. why would anyone want to come to us, and
2. we have nothing of any great value to trade

it will be a very hard task to get someone decent over the line at a reasonable price

We'll have a top 5 pick the way we're going

just putting this out there... i posted it in the rance to midfield thread but probably goes well in here too...

vlastuin 187
martin 187
menadue 187
c.ellis 184
mcintosh 192
lennon 188

probably just lacking one or two more mcintosh's height (but hard inside winners) but otherwise we are pretty good size wise. lets face it a few could develop into that role. losing jackson has just exposed that hole and lack of leadership. hence the targeting of selwood.

Lennon and Menadue are outside, McIntosh and Ellis should develop into better inside players but are no bulls at this stage, Martin plays more of an outside role as a receiver and Vlastuin is stuck in the backline. Looks good on paper but it's not really a big tall tough midfield when you compare it to say Freo

I do when he slaps the ball out of a players hands after he takes a mark and gives away 50 yeah . He knows better

If your talking about the Nth game on the wing. Happened right in front of me (virtually). Rance didn't take the ball. Not sure if the replay shows it as I haven't watched it. The Nth player put the ball into Rances hands, but I think the Umpire was screened off from it. Very clever(sneaky) by the Nth player.....

Have we not learnt, never trade talls until they have had every chance to make it..
Astbury, vickers, Elton are all required....
Keep drafting kids, take some risks at the draft, unlike the safe vanilla options in the past
Recruit big bodies and big mids, recruit some speed, play more direct

Thing is Tango67 Shultz comes to mind. Seems to have found his spot at PA. I don't know if TV will make it at RFC & it's starting to look like others are catching up to him. I'm thinking maybe a change for him may be best for both parties ??? I'd love it if Tv came on for us but I'm just not seeing it ATM....

P.S I know delivery has been shite, that could well have a bearing, but that's not the only issue with Ty's game. It's other things as well....
