Shiel is so good that any of the following deals would be sufficient:

- Conca + 1st round.
- Lennon + 1st round.
- Vickery + 1st round.
For a player that wants to come home and isnt signing - You must be on drugs

Top 10 pick will get it done, Dylan Shiel isnt Chris Judd yet

Well, if we get him to nominate us, then it's a different story.
However, we'd be stupid not to think that it won't turn into a bidding war with other clubs.
What's to stop StKilda swooping with a pick better than ours?
We'd have to up our offer, and GWS won't be interested in a second round pick to go along with our first.
It would have to be player + first round pick.

Him not wanting to go to the Saints would stop that trade. But you're right it will take more than pick 10 to get it done.

Wasn't Dom Tyson desperate to get to Richmond?
Just because a player wants to go somewhere, doesn't mean he will get there.
Shiel may just be happy to end up anywhere in Victoria to be with his family.
Player plus first round pick is where it is heading, based on his current form to date anyway.

Tyson did the year before he left. But he was contracted so couldn't walk and was forced to stay. He then re-signed and then got traded which was a bit weird. He may well be happy to go anywhere. Usually they pick a club though and we just have to hope it's us. It's tended not to be lately so wait and see I guess.

Let's hope it's us, that's for sure.
Will certainly help our bargaining power.

Any chance we could be looking at WHE rather than Shiel? Hasn't been performing anywhere near Shiel's level so far this year. Could maybe get him slightly cheaper.

Probably paying overs on each of those, as good as Shiel is and will be.
Honestly though, would have hated to say it a few weeks ago but really, we can't afford to let Vickery go. He may well end up our no.1 ruckman in the next couple of years but we also know he can be a dangerous forward. And mainly, what talls do we have that are ready to go and super competitive but can also ruck? Absolutely zero. Cannot afford to lose him simply based on that.
Shiel though is a must get.

No chance from what I have heard. I would be really surprised, considering the talk if we did not bring in a A grade talent ie shiel and a B plus talent. Who that secondary talent is, I have my guess and have mentioned his name when i first mentioned shiel last year. Heres a tip it starts with B

I will list this article below. I think a realistic chance to get Shiel is if he nominates us, imo highly likely and the AFL brings in trading of future picks. So something like our first rounder this year and a swap of our second rounder next year for there third rounder. They may want a established player, if they believe there window is wide open but also a pick to recruit elite talent.

To be honest, I would not be surprised if we traded Tyrone or Griffiths and our next years second rounder for shiel.

The main quote to take note is "GWS’s Dylan Shiel and Sydney’s Lewis Jetta could be on their way out to bring in more picks, and essentially more points, to “pay” for the kids"

I would seeing as GWS have absolutely no need for them, given their plethora of KPP.

As for GWS:
- They're getting a ripper in Jacob Hopper. Goal scoring mid, strong overhead and in the contest. Very similar to Treloar now that I think about it. Although I know that he doesn't really like them.

Yeah they have KPP but who is there second ruck thats mobile enough to play forward as a lead up target ? You can never have to many of those IMO. Anyway, just chewing the fat :p. My guts telling me its picks only in trade but guess well see.

i have heard bugg :). His name keeps getting mentioned. I am not as solid on my info as I believe I have been on Shiel but its getting louder. He is like a younger jackson in the sense, heaps of mongrel which we lack.

He was my best guess. Signed a contract at the same time as Shiel and hasn't yet re-signed (at least couldn't any information on him doing so).

The rest of the players were either better than B+ or beginning to get too old for our window (whenever the **** that is).

i'm keen on Yarran for our first pick and swap Carton for their 2nd round for our 2nd round.

We need pace..he has it. We need to ad pace now...not in 3 years. Back Menadue in and with Mcintosh we have some serious outside leg speed immediately. Add Sheils for a player swap Carlton's 2nd round and we will have depth.

Totally Agree with Yarran

With Menadue ,Delidio and Yarran that would really improve our lack of speed , I really think that in the Richmond lineup Yarran will really tear it up

Love to have him in the team will be 25 in december and another 7-8 years left in him - Perfect give him the #1 jumper

If we give up our first for Yarran and a 2nd round swap, I'll dump 3 tonnes of chicken shit at punt road

Would be happy with Bugg. Versatile player with a fair amount of campaigner in him. Good ball user too.
