i hear he is good coin as well

seems to struggle in big games, and does stuff in junk time when the cats are killing the opposition

can't see him taking 1st ruck when otto throws in the towel

west or mummy as a chf that could ruck, would add another dimension to the team

much like brown does with the hawks, almost like milburn could do on the forward line, as he seems to pull some goals out

It's understandable that everyone felt so sorry for him last year, but I would have thought that he had something to prove today. It's not like the Hawks duo are anything all that brilliant, so to have returns of only four possessions for the day is nothing short of pathetic. That said though, it was noted that our players often refused to kick it to him, looking for other options instead. This means that they obviously have no faith in his ability to play football and he is nothing more than a passenger. Big questions will be asked of this bloke during the off season.

Absolutely! This guy had something to prove in the GF more than anybody else given he was the player dropped last year for S King. His response? Play the worst game he has for a long time. His ability to perform in finals is obviously a major question (reason he was dropped last year - after some less than stellar work in the finals prior to the GF). His performance in this year's GF was disgraceful given what he should have been out to show. I seriously think the GFC should pursue different 2nd ruck options now which is bad because Blake has no ability to contribute in any other position(s) - a lame duck indeed if that is the way the club needs to go.

m8 i am no bandwagon fan, been to every game under bomber thompson except 1 perth trip when my sister got married, but as of yday i am now only a person who barracks for geelong, i will no longer support them finacially, they lost me for life yday and that hurts...

Blake is just an embarassment fullstop, i mean we needed him to at least do something on grand final day and he cant beat a 7 gamer in renouf, enough of the clapping everytime he gets the ball during home and away games, its not funny, were these people clapping his 4 touches on the big stage, plz mumford get a decent go next year cause blake just aint up to it pure and simple

Look, he had a shocker on GF day (he had a few mates, senior experienced players too), but he has improved each year he's played seniors. He has to continue to improve next year, it's as simple as that.

Yeh, yeh, yeh. Same tired story. He's getting better. He might be good. Don't expect too much from him because he's only a second string ruckman... Bla, bla, bla. Getting tired don't you think? The reason we got rid of King over Blake is because somebody at the club thought that there was a lot more of a future in Blake. When Ottens leaves, we will need him to stand up. I hope we don't have to wait for that day, because I don't think he'll ever be up to it. I hope the club give him an ultimatum this year and say, 'either you perform, or there's the door.' I'd much rather see us give our other ruckmen a go over this hack.

Totally agree,,after seeing him play against raw opposition ruckmen,,he was bloody hopeless,,,jobs a ruckman should do,, tap work 4/10 for Blake,,option around the ground 1/10 for blake that is why you dont kick it to him as he cannot read the play and get in position,,ground work (not really up to a ruckman) but if needed to have a go 0/10 for Blake,,,option to move forward to take a contested mark 0/10 for Blake,,, lonergan and mooney up forward were crap,,to fill the hole Ottens has to go forward but Blake does not contribute enough to stay on ball,,,look out geelong when there is no mooney or ottens and the tomahawk does not come good,,there going down,, draft picks this year should be for talls that can play key positions chf, ff, Ruck, and maybe a fb as scarlett aint going to be around forever,,forget about recruiting onballers as we have enough of them.....
