Blight Homesickness?

I remember Reading earlier in the Season about his Possible being Homesick and I don't think I ever Found out if he was.

Does anyone have the Answer?

Well he would've got a 2yr contract so he wouldn't have left after one season so I guess we just have to wait and see. But I think I saw someone (maybe on here) say that he was loving Melbourne.

Johnny Bennell was the only homesick player from what I heard, and he left.

I have heard nothing about Blight being homesick, I hope it isn't so, he is one of our most promising young players.

No I remember Asking this Question early in the Season and I sort of Remember Blight Dad came on and Said something that I forget and I can't find even searching for it

Yes Dave, his Dad (Stuart, IIRC, nice bloke) came on and posted regarding Jarrad's move over here. He said in effect that Jarrad was a bit homesick; but for Jeebus' sake what 18-y-o kid moving away from all their friends and family wouldn't be?

Jarrad will be well supported by the club, he'll have had a chance to mesh with the boys by now, and he's right in the mix for senior selection being named as an emergency several times and hopefully cracking it for his debut early in 2010, not to mention featuring in the NAB Cup. He will be fine.

The other thing that Jarrad's Dad said was that Jarrad's a very loyal young man, and he'll be a Magpie for a long time to come. I rate Blight off the charts and I can't wait to see him run out onto the MCG

I suspect we won't have to wait long for this.

He seems to have the "complete package", he is a good size, has pace, is a lovely kick and doesnt hesitate to attack the ball.

I loved what I saw of him last year, Blight and Josh Thomas are the 2 I am most looking forward to see develop out of the players who haven't debuted yet.

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to leave your family, friends, girl friend to go and live in another state. So hearing he had some homesickness isnt surprising

looking on both sides of the coin it can be a very favourable experience.leaves them to concentrate on their new "profession" meet new people,see new places etc.
