1) Carlton to sit on top of the ladder all season. Every time you open the paper there we are like normal. You go to the stats and we have someone in the top 5 or ten of everything and constantly think geeze, who is going to beat us ????
2) EVeryone in the media tips us every week, except the odd roughy. People laugh at this, but understand the loyalty.
3) The media constantly talk about how good it is to see that "The Blues are Back" and how they all knew it wouldnt take long, especially caroline wilson who was "behind us all the way,.." - "always knew we would come through" and "was one of the few who didnt lay the boot in when we were down"
4) People start tipping against their own team when they play us
5) You try and get grand final tickets in April.
6) Simmo, Gibbs, Sellar, Kennedy, Murph, Waite, Fish, Fev, and other all announce they are willing to take pay cuts to ensure we stay together as a playing group and try for our third flag in a row in 2009. (work it out boys!)
7) Pagan announces his retirement after he wins his second flag with the blues (there it is again) and wants to hand the team over in great shape for the in-comming coach. Brett Ratten.
8) Murph and Gibbs tie for the brownlow.
9) Debate rages over the internet over wether Kennedy is better than carey at the same age.
10) Kouta comes and says " walker reminds me so much of myself at that age".......bigfooty collingwood posters agree that Walker is much, MUCH better than Kouta at the same age.
11) We beat the Saints, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Port by more than 100 points in the same season.
12) Although we are considered one of the greatest blues teams of the moderm era, we still only beat Essendon by one point three times in the same year. Twice in the home and away and you all know when for the third.
13) 2009 Lance rejects the captaincy and just wants to play. Murph takes over.
14) People on Bigfooty constantly remind us how crap we were in 05, 06 we just remind them "we've all been crap once, but we are the best ever. "
15) we announce a 1.5 million profit for the season.
