Can anyone tell me if the AFL undertake blood sample testing. I have heard on many occasions that they do urine tests but i have yet to hear about blood tests. I do know that EPO and blood doping can only be detected via blood samples.

leaves a few cans of worms still to be opened then, maybe the AFL took their strong stance against Aker to hide the fact that the spot light should be on them. How can you have a comprehensive drugs policy without blood testing.

EPO can infact be detected in urine but only for a period of 24 - 72 hours. Blood testing opens the window until at least a month after admin. However Dr. Look at Me Larkins informs me in todays M/H Sun that both urine and blood need to come back positive for the test to be positive.
He'd more than likely be up to date now as his knowledge last week was somewhat lacking.
