Last 10-15 minutes of the first half was the difference in the end. That and some missed chances from Budd.
We tried to play through their pressure and were caught short. Not our worst game by any means.

Glad to see them trying Dawson off half back. Been saying a while his kicking would be useful there.

A 60m bullet pass downfield sure beats the safe 15m chip to the player free on the boundary. Would like to see him model what Hurn has managed to do for the Eagles.

We will not win one more game with these players. Everybody flies and nobody down. What ever happened to playing on your player in defence? What happened to one on one footy? This coach is ****ed. They are a good side but...

Even with Sam Naismith, who actually taps to our advantage, and Menzell I don't think we will improve much. The basic problem, and it is basic, is we don't protect the player with the ball. We don't deliver to our forwards in a way that will make it easy to score. We bomb. We take so long to get it in there the forwards could have a picnic lunch/dinner and still be ready to contest. But of course by then it is too late to actually have any advantage.

We play so slowly they were able to cover every move. They are not the only ones. Crows etc. We won't win another game this year playing this, style.
