this is my mock draft for 2011 I will ony be doing write up's on my top 30 players but will be doing the whole draft thank you and please enjoy
ROUND 1
1.Jonathan Patton-GWS
Jonathan Patton is the complete package for a club looking for a power forward to build their club forward line around for the next ten years He needs to work on he's goalkicking but if anyone can bring the best out of him it's Sheedy
2.Stephen Coniglio-GWS
Coniglio is a good sized midfielder who can play forward he wins he fairshare of clearances and beats he's opponents with he's pace he has super endurance.
3.Dom Tyson-GWS
This ball-winning midfielder has elevated is standing in the draft with excellent proformances in the under-18 Championships he is not that super quick but makes up for that with he's ability to find space on the ground where there is none he will grow into an elite midfielder.
4.Will Hoskin-Elliot
I think some people will be shocked to see him here and some people like me will not. I think Will is the player who could turn into the best player of this years crop of draftees Will is capable of playing as a forward but is still a class midfielder and should not play there as it would be a waste of his talent.
5.Billy Longer-GWS
The skipper of Vic Metro is a highly regared ruckman who is likend to Dean Cox he runs allday and can also play as a forward which is what is needed in a ruckman now days with the new interchange rule.
6.Chad Wingard-PA
Port will be doing back flips that this kid is still avilable as he been consided by many to be a top three contender he is a great midfielder with great ball-winning ability.
7.Matthew Buntine-GWS
It is a surprise he isn't talked about more as a top five contender. Buntine is the sort of player who would fit into most backlines He is capable of shuting down most forwards but I see him play more of a running defender role.
8.Jackson Paine-B L
Paine is a talented forward who will slot into most forward lines and play a role I see him being groomed to play at center half-forward for Brisbane when Jonathan brown retires.
9.Liam Sumner-GWS
Liam is a very balanced midfielder with exciting athletic skills who enjoys taking the game on he has strong leadership qualities and could be captain of which ever club he goes to.
10.Todd Elton-GWS
Elton is the complete package type of player in that he can play anywhere on the ground Back, Forward or Ruck when playing in the ruck he adds something that most ruckmen dont he has speed and ball winning ability to dream about I see him play at center half-forward and pinch hit in the ruck.
11.Adam Tomlinson-GWS
Adam is a tall defender from Vic Metro with plenty of potential to play a variety of roles he can play forward or back but I see him playing at center half-back as it will help him with his running style of play
12.Toby Greene-BL
Greene is a hard running prolific ball winner who knock's up getting the ball he is a clearance specialist who I think is the perfect replacement for Power and will be ready to play round one the only problem is that he handballs more often then he kicks which he's good at but it's just me thinking of my dreamteam and supercoach teams.
13.Brandon Ellis -GWS
Ellis is the sort of player you love seeing running off half-back as he has the smarts to find a teammate further up the ground which is why I have going to GWS as he also capable of playing midfield if he needed to do.
14.Frasher Mciness-GWS
A very mobile key position player with a strong marking ability who has had he fairshare of injuries but is very versatile and can play many positions on the ground but I see him more as a key defender which I think he's capable of doing.
15.Elliot Kavanagh-Richmond
A highly rated midfielder who has dropted down the rankings due to injuries but is still a super athlete who could still go higher if a team wanted him he is super quick and he uses the football well when he has it and when he dos'nt puts huge pressure on he's oppent to turn it over.
16.Taylor Adams-Fremantle
adams is a smart footballer who is likened to Jimmy Bartell who is capable of having a huge impact on a game He is a strong tackler which I like most about his game He can play forward if he needed to and will kick goals.
17.Michael Talia-WB
Michael is a tall mobile contested marking defender who has very good endurance and a strong workrate he has average speed be he can out mark his oppent in a contest I see the Bulldogs take him to replace the injured Dale Morris and in later year's he will be their fulltime center half-back
18.Brad McKenzie-NM
Brad is an SA midfielder who has excellent footskills at half-back but is capable of playing well in the midfield where he can win a clearance or two but he definitly a talent it will be interesting to see where North play him as I belive he's best suited as a half-back.
19.Daniel Markworth-Essendon
Daniel is very athletic wingman/forward who has played tennis and basketball which makes him a very versatile player who has a great burst of speed and is great by hand and foot and he has elite endurance.
20.Sam Docherty-Fremantle
Sam is a very creative half-back who has explosive pace his kicking is exceptional and always seems to find he's teammate up the field and is cool under pressure definetly a player to watch in the future.
21.Tom Mitchell-Sydney
Sydney definetly get a gun under the Father/Son rule who could have gone top five pick in the draft who has exceptional hands and loves the contested football has ecellent pace and elite endurance.
22.Julian Dobosz-Carlton
I definetly have this kid preety high in the draft but he is talented that I couldn't resist he has only been play for a short time but is a high level athlete who is extremly quick who could be anything if Carlton get him right and I have faith that they will.
23.Shane Nelson-Westcoast
Shane is a local kid who is a high possession ball-winner who is extremly quick and loves the contested ball
24.Hayden Crozier-GCS
