Barrett may not be the certainty I first posted.
Has apparently had a medical with Port although perhaps he is just going through the motions.

Damn!!!
It was during trade week apparently.

I wouldn't worry too much. I doubt delistees are going to be the difference between finals and mediocrity any time soon.

I think if it was a certainty we would have got him with Marchbank. Rumours are that Port into him and also Hawks to try and make up for their complete lack of picks this year.

SPS feels like one of those most talented player in the draft guys, like Yarran and Menzel... he could be awesome, but he won't be for us.

I like Brodie for can't miss-ness. Taranto because he seems to be surging and he's got a great Carlton name.

It has been reported widely that SPS has a desire to come to Melbourne and live and play footy.

I am sure that if SOS picks him at 5, then the "go home factor" has well and truly been explored.

Not all Indigenous kids or interstate kids yearn to stay home.
Not to mention that "home" is actually almost a 3,000km drive from Perth. He actually moved away from home a few years ago to improve his footy, I don't think he would be much of a flight risk at all. Just need to make sure he finds himself a Melbourne girl if we draft him.

We have now have a deticated players integration and assimilation officer, Andrew Walker so these problems will gradually disappear, the CFC will be d a much happier environment for our first year youngsters and all personal in general
As long as they aren't left too long in the Bermuda triangle that has been the Northern Blues ...

almost like we appointed an indigenous former player to a development and integration role in the lead to the draft specifically for this eventuality. Coincidence?

Apart from Cripps our WA strike rate hasn't been too flash of late...Lucas, Smith, Bootsma.
True, but we ended their Carlton careers for various reasons though.. it's not like they got homesick.
Cripps is settled. Armfield has been here 10 seasons and White has been here around 8 at a guess.
