Lots of things start opening up through this period and clubs do need to get all their ducks in a row to make deals.

I don't think they can reduce it too much further, but maybe they will.
Maybe starts one Monday and finishes the next Monday. That way you have the weekend to finalise your offers and it comes down to a "take it or leave it"

Yes I like that idea Harker, would be the perfect solution, more exciting and less painful for the supporters, this procrastinating or ineptitude in trading is so frustrating.

Kane Cornes just said Adelaide shoudl stop chasing Gibbs and give their first rounder to Richmond for Deledio.
So he's happy for them to give up #13 for a guy that's 2 years older and has had some recent injury issues, but can't see how a guy that's 2 years younger and probably has 3-5 years left might be worth a little bit more than that?

If it's frustrating for us, you got to feel for some of the players. Annoying thing for me is when we hear "couldn't get that deal done because we missed the deadline".

Andrejs is an easy type to write off given he doesn't crack in, but we shouldn't under estimate his value...not many of his size and mobility going around, plus a great set shot. If it's not a pick at 40 or so why would we do it?
Conditional footballer suited to the old banana lounge style CFC .
Not suited to the new "comfortable being uncomfortable" mantra under Bolton so like the rest of the comfortable players , he's for the high jump ..

Still need Rowe to protect our youngsters, he is still a required player atm.
I just vomited a bit in my mouth,Rowe is much more likely to expose our youngsters.

Starting to think Ahern is going to be part of this bundle of players. I'm definitely not against his inclusion. Pickett, Marchbank, and Ahern. Pretty much the entire GWS 2014 draft at picks 4, 6, and 7. Would fill the void for our horrible drafting/trading that year.

But we definitely need to retain at least two high picks this year. Those three guys have crazy levels of talent but all have injury concerns.
Yeah great they can pass on their own horrible drafting from 2014 onto us, each one of those players in worth less than Steele. Irresponsible to even consider using 5 as a downgrade, especially when they've been generous to other clubs. Next years Second rounder for Marchbank and Pickett and that's generous.
