What's the worst...........or the best that can happen?
What if we just got Marchbank & Pickett for next years second, Lang for Tuohy and kept #5?

It wouldn't bother me at all and in fact, I'd be somewhat happy if that's all that transpired.
I don't particularly care for Stewart nor even Corr. A 5 player quality intake via trades and draft, would be fine by me.

Bolts is livid with Bryce & is happy for him to leave but understands we need to be fairly compensated.
Don't blame him. Sounds like he has done the dirty on the club. He obviously had been thinking about this for some time and even had time to have a coffee with Tex Walker before he told Carlton. Shows a lack of respect and it has placed SOS under pressure that he hadnt planned on before this week.

When a club gives a player the security of a 5 year contract it is reasonable of the club to expect the player to honour it.

The current system is stuffed
TBF, then its also reasonable that during the period of that 5 year contract, the players personal circumstances might change too. What was the right circumstances when signing two years ago may be vastly different now. As we are seeing now. Generally the contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on. They can certainly be negotiated new terms when it suits both the player and the club.

I just vomited a bit in my mouth,Rowe is much more likely to expose our youngters.
Well after you've swallowed your own vomit maybe you could explain why?

I'd rather have Rowe getting smashed by Tom Hawkins and Buddy Franklin rather than Marchbank and Weitering having their confidence ripped to pieces early in their careers.

A few posters in this forum should wake up to themselves- Gibbs has done a dog act and hijacked the Club's trade aganda without notice - worse than Henderson - at least Henderson gave noticve and we got a decent pick for him from Geelong - who weren't trying to make out like bandits nor dictate terms to us.

Gibbs Mr 5 year contract has done the dirty dirty - nothing not to expect from Mr Ponytail.

Is the relationship beyond repair from Bolts perspective?

Because if he does end up staying, surely that relationship would not be amicable and would be detrimental to the culture we're trying to build.

Throw Graham in there and boost that trade to a second round pick
We lack midfield depth at the club. Graham may still have a little upside remaining and may be able to provide senior support at times in the ones.

At the least, he is very valuable to our reserves as our young talls will require reasonable supply as they develop.

"family reasons" is the ultimate excuse for when you don't want your actions questioned. i think Gibbs has treated the club very poorly.

Tony Sheahan is a rude, arrogant arse.
I barely knew of his existence until a couple hours ago. Had a look at his TL & I'm fully with you.

He's as bad as Rohan Connolly, David King, Robbo & everyone's favourite, Nat Southby. Say something against Sydney & see the filthy tongue on her.

Manners are free, they could use a lesson or 2.
