Wouldn't mind Hopper & Kelly for two firsts.

Well technically he never graduated beyond year 8 so perhaps he does...Ooorrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaazzeeeeeeoooooooo.
FMD he's embarrassing .
He's basically just making fun of a first name that isnt Jack, Jake or Steve etc.
What ******* year is it? Does BT stil think he's at Manduarah High School.
[small ruckus can be heard in the distance, slowly gathering in volume as a speck appears on the horizon, also growing as the collection of light and sound draws near]
ME: fffFYYYYYYYYYYYYYyyyfffffff.....
[blazes off into the distance]
Yeah, Vafa doesn't present info without integrity.
Interesting about our interest in Kelly and it sort of makes sense. although are we ready to open up that war-chest this year though?
Hopper makes for an obvious hit but not feeling the same about our ability to land Kelly.
Hopper and Kelly without losing this years first? It would take a bit, but it could be done.
If it was Kelly and Hopper for our 2017 and 2018 first rounders then it's not "selling the farm" at all. If we start sending multiple picks then it probably is. Personally I would prefer to just chase Hopper and hope to get a really good deal. Players like Kelly though with great outside games are bloody hard to find and are worth their weight in gold
Better than Sandi... How many ****ing names did he get wrong in our game. Called Plowman Fisher twice and the rest just said Carlton cause he had no idea who they wereI know I'm in the minority here, but I bloody love BT, especially on the radio. He makes footy fun again. You can tell he doesn't take himself too seriously, he calls (pretty well), but his enthusiasm is awesome.

I can't see SOS wanting to enter a bidding war for Kelly.
We may if we were on the edge of the 8 and needed some of what he has to offer, but it may just be a little early right now.
If the asking price is 1mil and over 5-9 years for our first rounder and then some.......do we enter the bidding?
We backed out for Prestia last year and I just don't see us backing ourselves to the degree Kelly would take, just yet.
As much as I like Kelly, he doesn't make the difference. Reckon we could do better and at the right time.
If he was a free agent, then of course.....but not for the money that could effectively tie-up 2 quality players.
I'd do this in a heartbeat.
Kelly and Hopper were high draft picks themselves who have gone on to show they are good enough at AFL level, with Kelly in particular starring now.
Both in their early 20s still and would instantly make our midfield A grade.
We've invested in the draft heavily for 2 years...i'm sure that will continue but we've stockpiled a lot of kids now so trading a first or even 2 isn't that big a deal if it gets us players like Hopper & Kelly.
Those players will actually help our draftees of the last 2 years lift their games and could even lift us into premiership contention within the careers of Murphy, Gibbs (if he stays) & Kreuz.
Not at all. I simply don't think giving up quite a bit for Kelly & Hopper is trying to fast track it.I tend to agree. I don't think we have enough to offer GWS for Hopper and Kelly, surely GWS would take us to the cleaners. I get the feeling some are wanting us to fast track the rebuild a little.
Don't think two first is enough to get them both personally.
Our first this year - 5ishYou're probably right.
I highly doubt we'd be able to get them both in a package deal...we know there will be plenty of other clubs going after each of them as well, which a huge deal already tabled by North to Kelly apparently which i can't see us getting anywhere near.
I reckon it goes as far to say we are interested in Kelly...i mean of course we are he's a gun.
But realistically, SOS and co probably already know we are highly unlikely to land him and i see Hopper as our main target.
We are just proving that we can grow organically through the draft and so whats the suggestion, start giving up 1st and 2nd round draft picks. Why cant we be patient and continue doing value trades rather than sell the farmThis years first and the Gibbs first from Crows (if he goes) and next years second to GWS.
Kelly, Hopper and one of their 2017 second rounders to us.
Kelly
Hopper
2017 2nd to Freo via GWS for Balic
2018 1st on best mid
Ben SOS with leftover 2018 picks
Instant stud midfield, all 23 and under at start of next season.
Sign me up.
Wow.
Taylor is a twat. A brainless commentator who is a populist anti carlton neanderthalI know I'm in the minority here, but I bloody love BT, especially on the radio. He makes footy fun again. You can tell he doesn't take himself too seriously, he calls (pretty well), but his enthusiasm is awesome.
His biggest issues are when he makes too much effort to bring it into the commentary. When it's the right moment, it's hilarious (see: Stringer GF clip), but when he is just trying to gee up a boring game or gets obsessed with a particularly unusual name it's just annoying.I know I'm in the minority here, but I bloody love BT, especially on the radio. I know Vafa has creds, but can't help thinking has misheard Kelly for Kennedy. The reported tabled deal forI can't see SOS wanting to enter a bidding war for Kelly.

We can, I'd have no issue with that. If you can bring in young players with the quality of Kelly and Hopper though, you'd be mad not to look at it long and hard.We are just proving that we can grow organically through the draft and so whats the suggestion, start giving up 1st and 2nd round draft picks. What do you mean by doesnt make the difference harks ? . Not too many players are going to be better than Kelly by the time he's 25 . And we are talking about 10 year players here would come at an expensive cost but i'd rate him a better prospect than Treloar as he has better disposal. They would be our version of Prestia and Caddy to richmond but better and i have no doubt those additions have helped richmond . And with those types of additions making a much better midfield our forwardline becomes instantly better with midfield dominance .
