Can Adelaide really afford to offer Gibbs that much more than what we are? I wouldn't have thought so.

Unless it's to do with us front-loading his contract heavily in the first few years.

We have already paid the bulk of his contract, Adelaide only need to beat the lower amount in the last couple of years of the contract to make the offer attractive.

Would be surprised and disappointed if SOS hasn't or isn't planning to talk to about 40 targets. There would have to be an average of two players at every other club that we could see adding value to our current squad.

Not going to land every fish, better chance if you have more than one line in the water.

Not aimed at anyone. More a hypothetical as to what may be behind Gibbs' reason for leaving...when you get enough cash in the bank there's no more working for the man, just a big 'F you'. Worked for me.
