This, haven't we got 1 of the highest total top draft picks on our list. That's merely an opinion and mine is that people on the other side of the argument are just the type to be s*** scared of uncertainty. Pickett has a serious (in football terms) foot injury and draft picks usually don't come with the same kind of baggage that players who have spent a few unfulfilled seasons at another club do - "rumoured lazy ways" says it all. Like people say, once a player is drafted, they begin at the same level as every other player does. I wouldn't be chasing players simply because they were highly rated when they were picked, I'd be looking at their current situations objectively and see if they fit in with what best suits us. As you say, Pickett was a number 4 draft pick and draft picks are overrated.![]()
Aside from Cripps you mean mean man.Fail to see the connection you are floating - Carlton players/where the ball is?
The Blues have asked about young midfielder Matthew Kennedy being tied to a deal but the Giants have rejected this approach.
So we are paying pick 5 for Marchbank. The others won't amount too much.So what I'm reading the 5 for pick 5 are Marchbank, McKenna, Pickett, A. Kennedy and Stewart. And they were drafted at 6, 23, 4, pre draft and 27.
If it is Adam Kennedy and not someone more skilled then I'm thinking maybe it won't be pick 5 that will be tradedIf Adam Kennedy is the 5th then FMD, we will be making the wrong choice.
As many have said already. We need quality not quantity.
We're not interested in Mitchell because he wants too much money, but fortunately Fyfe doesn't.
Am I doing this right?
Check out his disposal efficiency. 78% over his carreer from memory. I suspect he has a few skills. If it is Adam Kennedy and not someone more skilled then I'm thinking maybe it won't be pick 5 that will be traded
No worries mate, poor attempt at humour on my behalf. Enjoy Bathurst or whatever this Sunday holds.![]()

All good! Just frustrates me in here.
50 pages last year on Henderson for josh walker and pick 30 or whatever it is. Absolutely no substance behind anything and people put their livliehood into it!
Yeah I get ya mate. Love trade week, its been like my grand final since the early 2000's. Like others I get a bit (OK..... a lot) ahead of myself and run with rampant rumours but its only coz I care for the club and wanna rip everyone else off. I dont see myself as bad a some, but its all just fun IMO and if i dont vent here, the missus would throw me out on my ear from all my incessant whinging.

Must be a new rule coming in - field as many players as you have on the list. SOS is going in for bulk buys.
We're actually trying to have the list numbers extended to 70-80.
Too bad our list is filled with cannon fodder
We need high end talent not depth.I think people forget that we have blown almost a decades worth of drafting. Last year and Cripps...that's all we have to show for the 9-10 years since Murph and Gibbs arrived. Kreuz is solid, not spectacular. We have no depth and little high end talent.
If we just keep going to the draft without picks, it's a 5 year rebuild from today, 7 before we are challenging...in which case there is zero point keeping the likes of Murph and Gibbs.
We're in a hole and we need depth if this is to turn around quickly....which it needs to because a lot of the little top end talent we have is fast approaching 30. I trust SOS to make the right decisions and am happy for us to be aggressive.
I prefer to call it a flock.
