Interesting times. I would say potentially pivotal period in our rebuild. If we negotiate this tricky time well, we could be set up.
I really hope we can find a way to keep 5 and get the gws kids. I trust barass (and sos) if they think he is a future star, but I'd love to keep 5 as we desperately lack top end attacking talent.
That said, if we could somehow end up with two picks around 9/10 venables and scrimshaw would be a good outcome on top of the gws 5.

That's what I'm thinking. If they back themselves to be top 4 and deep in finals next year (which I think they will), they might be happy hand over their 2017 1st rounder which could be as low as 14. Would be great.

I think it's fantastic to send some of the older stalwarts off and to continue that rebuild factor (which is 100% what's required). Cash in on them now, not in 2 years when they're getting on and have no value and we still needed to rebuild.
Sure, I enjoy watching Gibbs and Tuohy, but they're not Dangerfield and Johanneson leaving the club. They are and must be replaceable. Better to do it at another club's expense while it's there.
