I find it interesting that people who have sources want to burn that bridge and betray that level of trust with the source. Plus if you love the club, you wouldn't want to leak that information and make it public knowledge so easily.

Some of what Earl said is probably correct but none of it is really anything new that hasn't already been rumoured. I for one am quite happy that Carlton seem to have locked down on leaking information compared with what we did under the old regime. We don't telegraph all our moves anymore which means we have greater bargaining position and strength at the trade and draft table.

Gut feel says we land Marchbank, Tomlinson and Stewart but not Steele. This will mean we focus on drafting mids which many will be happy with.

3 more months of this.
Don't you just love it... then we have another 5 months before the footy starts and then 6 months of footy with rumours and innuendo flying back and forth with some barely concealed insults tossed in.. glorious stuff.

Rumours will always be dicey without knowing the source.

Just a few possibilities:

a) the poster is lying
b) the source is lying
c) the poster has ulterior motives
d) the source has ulterior motives
e) the poster does not have all the information
f) the source does not have all the information
g) the poster filled in the gaps
h) the source filled in the gaps

Just what this forum needs, more sass. Can't we all try and get along for 5 minutes?
how good is the word sass, though?!

There will always be some that receive solid information/early information.
There are many people within the club and you can't get away from the fact that people talk; Board members, staff, players, players family members etc.
It's always been this way and will continue to be and the more people at a club, the more the chance that information circulates.

Some though have very good motives, some just can't help themselves and then there's some that just pretend.
The latter do get found out pretty quickly though, as they're generally just re-hashing bits & pieces across various info streams.

Collingwood are looking at Casboult. They are confident they can fix his kicking issues and turn him into a 2-3 goal a game forward to play alongside Moore. They are confident a second rounder will get the deal done.
Because they have had such success fixing Clokes kicking. Very likely it would get worse.

Can get the same coach that fixed Cloke's kicking, can't miss.

Edit: Beat me to it Sector 7G. Great minds think alike. And the not so great by the look of it.

Casboult started the season off by going back to old habits but has been using the action Sav taught him for the majority of the season. The issue for Levi this year is the fact that he can't get enough of the ball in our forward line. Collingwoods ball movement for the most of this year has been rubbish. Nothing would change if he was at Collingwood

You forgot the source trying to ketchup with everyone elses sources..
Funny enough I heard a rumour about Cas to GWS in a deal also involving Graham. Didn't put it out there cause I just couldn't see it eventuating.

We all love a rumour and are equally sceptical of people who post them, but can people chill out a bit with trying to tear other posters down? Questioning a source can be done without character assassination....

Sometimes external variables can change the outcome of a rumour. Things can turn upside down pretty quickly in football. However if someone posts a rumour that they believe will eventuate then it's up to the reader to decide whether they believe it or not.

Last year a player himself told me directly that he wanted to be a Blue, a few months later and now he is a Saint.

A rumour is a rumour not a fact.

He's hardly a saint ...
