Selfish little goose... why can't he realise he has come to the end and just let go
Probably because he's still a better player than 90% of his peers.

Age is a poor reason to delist someone if they're still performing at an Elite level.

Bolton only used 35 players this year, and finished with one win from the last 12.

Just sayin'
He obviously didn't rate the boys in the margoos. I thought KJ should've been given a chance ahead of Jones towards the end of the year, I just wanted to see what he would dish up in the senior side

Can't understand why SOS won't try and get a few mids, ala Steele or Barrett. Just seems to like defenders.
It's quality mids that we are lacking, not defenders.
How are we not lacking key defenders? Our KPD stocks were so poor this year that we asked an 18 year old to play full back.

Jamison is gone. Rowe is old and far from elite. Weitering is too good to be stuck playing a negating role in defence.

We need key defenders, just as much as we need midfielders and key forwards.

But if you are about to enter a rebuild phase, you don't want guys pushing 40 taking up spots on your list at the expense of bringing in talented youth.

IMO pick 5 is untouchable.

Happy for SOS to get as much talent from GWS as he likes - he's an absolute jet and knows that list better than anyone. It's not as though we are overloaded with talent at any position, and it's advantageous for us to make the most of this unique Giants situation while we can.

My feel is that we'll end up with enough KPP stocks (with 2-3 years experience, making them viable starters immediately) that we're able to focus solely on midfielders in the draft. Obvious benefit of this is that the development curve for KPP v mids means we get our fix of KPPs with a few years of fitness & strength training, along with mids who are ready to go from day dot.

Oh, to emphasise, do not trade pick 5. Or next year's first. Nothing else is off the table.

How do you know he isn't trying to get midfielders as well?

There have been rumors about Steele, Pickett, Hrovat, Grigg, Hoskin-Elliot (this one I know 100% that he has met with SOS and Bolts).

The best thing that ever happened to KJ was being drafted to GWS. If he was drafted to a Vic club clubs would've realised that he wasn't playing reserves because he was stuck on an extremely talented list, but because he was a stupid and lazy footballer who was just wasting everyones time including his own. He would've been delisted after two years and that would've been that.

Maybe but personally I don't see any difference between holding onto an elite 38 year old footballer for a extra year or two (Harvey) and holding onto a mediocre 28 year old footballer for a year or two (Dennis Armfield or Simon White or Sam Rowe). In fact I'd rather the Elite player. At least he'd be teaching the kids the habits of an elite player.

Over on GCS page, saw a tweet Wayne Carey on triple m sport said he had been told during the week that Breust has been informed he is up for trade. Wouldn't mind if SOS could get his hands on Breust for us instead. We could do with a 40 - 50 a season goal kicker.
Breust wouldnt kick 40-50 with us. He's a player who's pumped up because of the side he's in. Half his goals are from cheap out the back sneaks from the goal square. Same with Poppy. His athleticism and forward pressure is good but he'd be average at any other club.

Look at Betts last few years with us compared to him now, team makes a HUGE difference to forwards.

Think Stewart and Marchbank will satisfy me enough for players to bring in from other clubs, prefer it if we just tried to load up on draft picks and keep on building with kids.
