Breust wouldnt kick 40-50 with us. He's a player who's pumped up because of the side he's in. Half his goals are from cheap out the back sneaks from the goal square. Same with Poppy. His athleticism and forward pressure is good but he'd be average at any other club.

Look at Betts last few years with us compared to him now, team makes a HUGE difference to forwards.

TBF, you don't know how he would go if he came to us its simply guesswork saying he wont kick the same as he has. His career average is basically 2 goals a game, 1.0 if you want to be specific over his career. Clutching at straws to say he wont do it if he played for us. Secondly, Eddie's last year with us was better than anything anyone produced for us this year. 27 goals, but he also missed 4 games. His three years before that we 42, 50 and 48 goals. Which proves good players can score goals in shit teams.

IMO pick 5 is untouchable.

Happy for SOS to get as much talent from GWS as he likes - he's an absolute jet and knows that list better than anyone. It's not as though we are overloaded with talent at any position, and it's advantageous for us to make the most of this unique Giants while we can.

My feel is that we'll end up with enough KPP stocks (with 2-3 years experience, making them viable starters immediatrly) that we're able to focus solely on midfielders in the draft. Obvious benefit of this is that the development curve for KPP v mids means we get our fix of KPPs with a few years of fitness & strength training, along with mids who are ready to go from day dot.

Oh, to emphasise, do not trade pick 5. Or next year's first. Nothing else is off the table.

cripps....cripps.....cripps

last week Carey stated categorically that Boomer harvey would not play next year as he had been counselled by some "very smart people"within the club not to. next minute boomer is out spruiking his availability and enthusiasm to play next year

That comment lost a lot of credibility when it was later pointed out that Carey was in fact one of those 'very smart people'!

Man how many defenders do we want?

Anyone young and with talent is great, but would much rather hearing some names that are forwards or midfielders, rather than yet a other defender in corr.

I know tomlinson, Marchbank and Weitering have all been described as able to play forward, but they've all made their names and played their best playing in defence.

We need as many quality defenders as we can get. Rowe and White are on their way out.

Any idea on what they think he will cost the club as fair as satisfying us?

Nth with pick 11. Lions likely to have pick 19 & 21 after they are given a PP.

Maybe they can do the same sort of deal we did with WB last year. Trade down pick 11 to Lions for picks 19 and 21.

Pick 19 or 21 for Tuohy may be just about right.

Agree.

As SOS has said, don't get attached to any player they are all on the trade table.

Build the KP stocks first (which we never have) and then you can poach plenty of midfielders from other clubs or draft them.

Might surprise us, take mids in the draft. Brodie or McGraph would be fantastic pickups, as well notable other later picks.
Believed to be interested in Hrovat as well.
And something big is being planned for next season's trade period apparently....

Could it be Fyfe or someone else elite ???

Think Stewart and Marchbank will satisfy me enough for players to bring in from other clubs, prefer it if we just tried to load up on draft picks and keep on building with kids.
I like the avatar DVB. You have every right to back those Swans in now, got to be a good chance.

Still think Geelong at their best will win at the MCG. But I would not put my house on it.

Unfair comment TL.

Carey would be the perfect person to counsel Boomer on ruining your sporting legacy... ;)
