Talked about a bit already but Darcy Lang definitely leaning towards a trade at the end this year wanting more senior midfield opportunity. Carlton interested again for the right price. Geelong brought him back into the team for finals not just on form but to help drive up trade price. Source is someone with connection to Geelong players.

While Geelong do roll the dice, I can't see that as a selection factor for a cut throat elimination final against the Swans.

Yeah but even if the flight from Melb to Perth is only 2.5 hours, he still has to get to Northhampton from Perth Airport ...
440 kms of the most boring landscape one could wish to endure, except in the wildflower season which is absolutely spectacular.
It takes a tad under 5 hours by car. Plane is approx 30 - 40 mins to Geraldton, then about an hour flight, depending on the airline (size of the plane varies a lot).
Not picking holes though. The locals rarely go through the hassle to get to Perth unless they really have to.
FWIW, same town as J. Kennedy.
Hopefully not an omen but Crippa would look pretty silly if he went back on his mid year comments re wanting to be a CFC premiership player and captain.

Edit - I WISH the flight was only 2.5 hours to Melbourne!
Usually 3.5 - 4.5 depending on the wind and which way you are traveling.

Please refrain from using Cripps and a guy who can't stay on the court, in the same sentence. Please!

P.S. the process is overrated. Won't even be better than the lakers

Both have had their fair share of injuries and are poised to become 10-year superstars of the competition.

Was the right player to bring in without a doubt and like you said I don't think the trade value would have played a massive factor. However in saying that I was told it did play a part over selection of a contracted player who could have been brought in instead.

Cannot imagine ANY club in the midst of trying to win a flag, in a do or die game, to be making selections partly based on increasing trade value.

Agree in principle. Like I said, was the right player for the match and would have likely been brought in anyway.

Is anyone concerned as I am that the guy hasn't played 18 games in the last 2 years to dodgy knees...
Just saying..
We may get him at a discount or not at all based on the results of whatever medical checks we will need to do. GWS will know more about the injury than anybody else will and would have formulated a management plan to have him right for finals and here we are and he hasn't been able to play since round 23 due to soreness.

We will improve, I have no doubt. I just can't see the improvement of the team as a whole being radical enough to propel us much higher than 12th next year. Unless there is a complete capitulation, this years top 11 are still well ahead of us.

Absolutely no need to call for Bolton's head based on the Win/Loss of 2018.
Agree.....balanced view.
