Seriously....dumbest post of the year....NFIAfter todays effort I'm happy to say goodbye to Gibbs it was soft and pathetic by him today so cough up crows ..
i am happy to get any rumour. Anyone should be allowed to post. let's not dismiss postersTexts from a mate of a mate who is an employee of a second tier sponsor. Classic Bigfooty. Everyone needs to raise the benchmark for acceptable posts in the next couple of months
And how about Gold Coast who have been a rabble and a total sham? They were sold to him as the next big thing. Can't agree with this more.
Could have stayed and been a 3 time premiership player and an all time legend of Geelong. Instead he went to chase the cash. Thats Okay.. thats his decision (not what I woudl have done, if I was in his shoes)... but see your bloody commitment out. You want the cash, you bloody hold up your end of the deal.
His leadership there has been shithouse too. Just let a horrible culture develop underneath him. He should have been really setting the standard and showing the kids the right way, but he didnt really seem to care.
Now he wants to leave them high and dry? Piss off.
He was soft ..Seriously....dumbest post of the year....NFI
By he you mean Carlton ? Werent too many putting their hands up tonight . Actually i think he couldnt have been any softer than that effort of Murphs on the boundary v Newman .He was soft ..
My news is that Balic is rumoured to have some off field disciplinary issues.
He lives with the other Harley from Freo and one of those Harley's isn't the best influence on the other.
He'll come cheaply if at all, I wouldn't be too concerned about picks, trades etc.
If it's a swap for Boekhorst then so be it. It'll probably be the first trade completed if so.
The cats cannot trade another future first rounder without getting another one in as they have traded their first the last 2 years to us and you have to use a first round pick every 3 years I believe. Also salary cap room is another big question mark for them. Gold Coast are going to want a good young player from the cats or the deal will not happen, as players with experience are more important to them right now than more 18 year olds that they will have to wait for. Remember Ablett is still contracted and even though everyone expects him to walk straight back into Geelong, why should G.C do Geelong any favours when they have the whip hand. He has let G.C. down badly with his attitude and they should make the cats pay through the neck for him..........if they really want him, which they are trying to make out they don`t!!!I think they could get it done, our P21 and 2018 1st for Hopper & Smith. A 2nd rounder plus Motlop compensation for Ablett. Stephen Wells would find a way.
I included Murph in my first post ..Did you see Simmo's game ? Thats how you set an example for young players. .tried his guts out from start to finishBy he you mean Carlton ? Werent too many putting their hands up tonight . Actually i think he couldnt have been any softer than that effort of Murphs on the boundary v Newman .
If you are happy to stamp his papers on one bad game then how about the rest of the team over the year.........get rid of them all because they may have put in a bad game here and there...........Gibbs did have a bad game, but his year has been a good one overall.......After todays effort I'm happy to say goodbye to Gibbs it was soft and pathetic by him today so cough up crows ..
If you read my previous posts i did say Gibbs has had a good year in the games that he has tried in ..If you are happy to stamp his papers on one bad game then how about the rest of the team over the year.........get rid of them all because they may have put in a bad game here and there...........Gibbs did have a bad game, but his year has been a good one overall.......
SOS wants him and rates him, so that`s good enough for me...........if the kids mental health is ok that is....!!!Do not want. When he plays he looks all at sea.
I think its 2 in 4 but it starts in 2019. I could be wrong. The cats cannot trade another future first rounder without getting another one in as they have traded their first the last 2 years to us and you have to use a first round pick every 3 years I believe. Teagueyubeauty...........so was I.......but you being an ex roo should have had more faith perhaps.Shocked about the North result, perfect for us.
I did see that, but you want to ship him off still !!!
If you read my previous posts i did say Gibbs has had a good year in the games that he has tried in ..
That was the other Kennedy, the one who is injured. Plays half back flank. Are you talking about Matthew Kennedy? Didn't he re-sign with GWS already?
If it works in our favour the answer is yes ..I did see that, but you want to ship him off still !!!
I'm pretty sure the AFL will allow it, the trading of future picks is not a set rule as such. Geelong can seek approval as they did last year. They will not get all three by all accounts because they do not have much to trade with.........as well as a tight salary cap. They will have to part with Menzel and Motlop just to fit Abletts`contract on their books, and Carlton has a lot more salary cap space available........but it is these headlines that get us blues supporters just a bit down each time they crop up I know...........SOS just get it done please !!!It would seriously piss me off if Geelong get Hopper, Smith & Ablett...or even 2 of them to go for another flag tilt.
Bit of jealousy i'll admit at just how good they've been at acquiring talent, after the likes of Tuohy, Henderson & Dangerfield to stay up the top of the ladder.
Add getting Hopper, Smith & Ablett to that list in the last 3 years and it's just ridiculous.
