Still Carlton.
Hey guys I've been at work all day. Can someone fill me in on all this Cameron talk + why 2 first rounders for Gibbs is now a "strong possibility"
Barass70 (a really reputable insider on the forums) posted before that Adelaide have offered picks #10 + #16 for Gibbs, but SOS wants #10 + Cameron instead, as he feels like we would need a player along with a pick. Apparently SOS wont do the trade unless we get a decent player in return.

So what’s more likely for tomorrow/thurs?

In: pick 10 (Ade), Shache, Kennedy, Scully and Lang
Out: Gibbs, pick 16, pick 40

Or

In: Kennedy
Out: pick 40
More likely our Captain Carlton for Adelaide's Crow - but we get to keep the hovercraft and they have to supply his feed for a year,

As someone else allude to, maybe his move to Brisbane isn't actually family based. Crows may know this, and the reason they are playing hardball. I would suggest SOS may too be in the know if there are other reasons. Those 'reason' may not keep him from considering the Blues. Just thinking out loud.
Heard before trades started that Cameron had fallen out with the club and wanted out, so Ade definitely aware of him wanting to go. It comes down to him being contracted for another year, but of course so is Bryce..........guess it depends on how badly they want Gibbs. SOS tried to get Cameron last year and also tried McGovern, so it is not surprising that he returns to the scene of the crime so to speak...........let`s hope he can steal him this time around!!!

Cameron to Brisbane, 20 to Adelaide.

16 and 20 to us for Gibbs. Leaves them 10 for Fogarty who should be on the board then.

Trade [20 and 40] for [27 and Kennedy] (Value = pick 30)

Use picks 3, 16, 27, 58. Take a mid at 3.

Maybe trade 3+16 for 7+8 from the saints. Troll Adelaide by taking Fogarty with one of those picks, as well as the best mid on the board.

Alternatively trade 16 to the Lions for Schache or to the Dogs for Stringer. Not sold on either for different reasons, but both are almost certainly better than anyone we could get at 16 this year.

Id be pretty happy with a draft haul of [Cerra or LDU or Raynor], plus [Schache], plus [Kennedy] and whomever we get at 27 [that mature age bloke from the wafl?] and 58 [???].

Thats picks 2, 3, 13, 27, 58. You take that and run.

I’d like to hear a little movement on the Kennedy front today. Surely not asking for too much....
Surely there must be something else tied into the Kennedy deal otherwise i would have thought that trade would have been done early!
Going to be an interesting 24hours..

Common Sos, trade us to the big dance!

If the offer is #10 + #16 for Gibbs + Buckley and we don't do it I'll be extremely pissed off.

Essentially a 29 year old and a guy we're going to delist anyway for 2 first round picks. This draft isn't as bad as its been made out and at the very least we will get a decent player with #10 and #16 gives us some trade currency if we decide to pursue Schache.

Hypocritically if the gibbs trades goes through and we get what we want and we use one of them picks to get Stringer or Schache
Who would everyone take ?
Im going with Stringer just because id love to see Stringer along side Curnow
Either would be worth a punt with one of those picks, id take a chance!

I'd much prefer Dylan Sheil but I'm dreaming.

I hope that you are correct. It is however foolhardy to underestimate your opponent. It has crossed my mind that Crows are trolling us as payback for our "unreasonable" stance last year. Perhaps their only intent is to screw SOS around by appearing to dangle first round picks which are not genuinely on the table. I guess if that was the case our man is certainly smart enough to figure the game.
FWIW I predict that the Gibbs deal with Adelaide will not get done. If I'm wrong I'm not too fussed provided we get a good return. I would certainly take 10 and 16 if that's offered.

Not with #10. Pick #16 I'd be willing. There's 'tiers' to this year's draft. Top 4 (in no particular order) are:

Dow, Rayner, Cerra and LDU

After that, the next tier is:

Constable, Fogarty, Brayshaw, Higgins, Brander, Stephenson, O'Brien, Bonar and Coffield.

Of course, that's my opinion. But with #3 + #10 we get 2 of those. With #16 we might not.

Hypocritically speaking: if Lethlean is CEO I'd take Stringer.......
