Interesting how people continue to pick the faults of other players, unless of course it is Kelly, Lynch, Martin ETC

Despite your opinion of him being a turnover merchant, would you concede he would walk into our current side and be less of a turnover merchant than some of our current players?
He'd be on the cusp of our best 22.
Just not sure he's the type of player we are looking for at the moment.

Can't see whose spot he would be taking other than Lamb's, who isn't even best 22. Thomas thrashes him in terms of decision making, versatility and attacking influence.

Walks onto the list no problem and into the selection mix, but not the 22.
Yes we know you dont rate Lamb but somewhat astonishingly are in love with Thomas , biased opinion if ever ive seen one Jimmae ;)

You must be joking Jim.

He would play in front of Buckley, Boekhorst, Smedts, Palmer, Graham all of who collectively played 28 games

Thomas has a year left, with no indication he will be a regular, who played 18 games this year.

Tom Browne tweeted saying we're looking at a pick swap with Dorks today.
Let's try and take this seriously for a second:

Hawks have 44, 68 & 81

We have 3, 40 & 58 & 77

Unless Hartung goes out the door in a trade, I don't see how that's worth our time. #68 for a 4 pick downgrade wouldn't help us with Kelly, for example (I expect he will go in the 50-60 range). Won't help us with Kennedy or Lang either.

He'll be on a knife's edge this year as well. His versatility and creativity keep him in the mix.

Wouldn't play him ahead of Boekhorst because he doesn't get the ball where it needs to go (through the sticks or to the guy who can do that for him), he just gets numbers.

I'd get him in to try and develop him into someone who could surpass Boekhorst, certainly.

Get ready for the implosion on this board when only Kennedy and Lang (maybe) arrive. It’s going to be a disaster.
Not sure I understand why. If we're +2 best-22 midfielders at 2pm tomorrow, I'll be pleased. Some might see missed opportunities, but how many of those are (or were) realistic and not BigFooty pipe dreams anyway?

If its to be believed, he's already spurned North for us in preference despite them offering more. So when he can stay in VIC and the money isn't an issue, you'd think he'd choose us. But the Cats will be pressing him to accept a Suns move because... Ablett. Cats benefit more from him going to QLD. Expect news today.
It might be that we've got the lowest financial offer and Gold Coast have the highest with North in the middle so he's looking at either stay in Vic with a team that will be on the up in coming years or take the cash offer which happens to be interstate (and at a club with more young talent than North...)

No implosion at all, if we can accomplish both trades of Kennedy and Lang in for very little , whilst retaining Bryce Gibbs that's a big win for CFC.
Two quality young mids and a third , Adam Cerra pick 3 , and we've bolstered our midfield very well, mission accomplished.

Possibly a swap of futures? Ideally we could somehow grab their future 2nd and offload that for Kennedy.

Could be future picks included

That game against the Hawks when he towelled Sicily extended his life line me thinks.

We’ve been linked to the following through the press and our insiders for this draft period: Kennedy, Scully, Kelly, Saad, Smith, Shache, Lang, trade of 3 for 7&8, Cameron, Gibbs for 10 & 16.

This has raised (almost) everyone’s expectations for this period. When only 1 or 2 trades get done, there’s going to be some over the top reactions.
